A 3 day job turned into 3 weeks, a lot of damage and he is not responding my calls or emails.

Poor communication, threatening, did not complete job. Had to figure out problems with the sprinkler system myself. Do not hire this company.

We got new Sod and an irrigation system installed in our backyard. They ran into some issues with our existing irrigation lines due to our house being an older build. Kevin and his team were able to assess the issue and correct it. They did great work on our yard.

Never provided a receipt. We asked and he said he would send us one and never did. Paid almost $3000, followed their watering directions, kept the whole backyard fenced off for over 3 weeks but now the sod is thinning everywhere, lays flat, and pretty much will become a mud pit again. Said that there is a 1-year warranty but since we cannot even get a receipt or work order for what we paid for I doubt that is worth anything.

There were many gaps in the placement of the sod and that cannot happen. I asked the project manager Kevin, just to bring me one more roll and I would take my time and effort to fill the gaps. He blew me off. He is also VERY bad at the most basic of communication. Still no roll of sod and it has been nearly two weeks after initial installation.

After installing some sod, one of the sprinkler heads was not installed correctly. I asked him to come back and fix it. It took 3 months for a response. After promising to come fix it, they stopped responding and never came to fix their work.

Unfortunately Kevin did not follow through with his guarantee. He left us with a broken sprinkler system and by fall, a yard full of dead sod. We are so disappointed with his lack of professionalism. There was unfinished work and he left the equipment at our house for several weeks and when he came back to grab his tools, he said he did not have the right tools to fix the sprinkler system.

This company did lay the SOD at my house, it took longer then they said it would, they did not level the ground before laying the SOD they did not take enough old dirt out before they laid the compost so the lawn it higher then it was before so the sprinkler heads are too low in the lawn now. They broke my walkway and the water cover. They said they would be back to replace it and fix all the issues and did not come back but pushed to get paid before the job was fully completed cause they needed it to pay for their next job. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Kevin was prompt and efficient in setting up the job, including providing the pertinent documents such as evidence of insurance and license. The installation was completed within 28 hours of first meeing him for a bid. The two employees who did the sod installation along with some border timbers were friendly and excellent workers. I will call Kevin if I need similar work in the future.

Kevin and his crew came out and prepared my front yard and installed the sod in about 6 hrs and it looks great. We re having him give us a quote for some more landscaping improvements.

Ok, so the day I met Kevin which was attempt three as he did not show up that day, he was even late. We understand life happens, so we finally met, and we had three meets prior to breaking ground. Took notes thought it was great he assured me it would be done in 3 days, but he said he would put aside 5 just in case any surprises. Ok great to this point I was happy. Day 1 scheduled start date, and he canceled... last minute... ok.... not off to a good start ... then the day they started there was a huge team of guys and a bobcat to clear debris piles we neatly had put in piles bark shaving from the tree we had removed. At this point, our confidence was restored. The next day, started on cinder block wall which he bidded $6300 for the wall as well as grading and leveling the yard. The entire project was to be done no more than 5 days, now I became worried when they started cutting cinder blocks as were my neighbors noticing spacing is super thick in some areas while almost no spacing in others. Long story, the short wall was not done correctly no deadman put in or support he put rebar on halfway while the last half, not 1 and needed to be placed from the beginning we are past the deadline, and out of 4 phases of the project they were not even done with the wall. Granted due to Kevin losing his notes workers not speaking a lick of English besides his dad nat that barely and Kevin only visiting the site 5-10 mins here. Pain to get in contact with. They had to spend a large amount of time redoing mistakes that should not have happened. Keep in mind bid of the job was for all supplies with exception of 5 pallets of cinderblocks we provided and had neatly stacked for them. Now one of the days I was bombarded with we need concrete and 10 pallets of it ... I was like what? That is on you guys but of course, Kevin not there nor answering the phone. I agreed to go to Home Depot bought 6 pallets $1k N following day I would get the 4 additional if needed cause it seemed like too much guess it was a way too much the 6. In meantime, we were inquiring with Kevin for an updated invoice worried we were nowhere near on schedule super far from. So two days prior to the last day ( we fired) the invoice had not changed, but then two days later he calls to say hey we are at 14k !!! As anyone would be floored over 100% he was asking for on just phase one after he said they would never go over 15% of the budget we immediately left a text telling him we needed to talk before any more work was done so after offering him 5k which is fair since I paid 1k in cement that they should have I mean the first pallet they did not ask me for but the last 6, So and we offered them to take the wood they bought for the fence back since it was not even the correct wood, to begin with, dog-ear on the horizontal fence that they intended on gluing together so buzzare suppose to be 6 ceder which it was not. Lots of boards split at bottoms etc. so because the bid for job 6300 not exceeding 15% additional costs me paying 1k I should not have had to. The job not even being 50% done I believe is more than fair however he refused it and then put a mechanics lien for now 17k on my home adding an additional 3k from thin air we are going to have it removed so not worried but he has only licensed in sod nothing else. He is a liar or just too young, does not know what he is doing I mean he is 22 yrs old taking over for his dad. he justifies, has an excuse for everything, and they ruined the fence of my neighbor, ever permitted by us and says well, we have not finished my response their fence should never have been touched to start. So irrelevant n shows his age in his responses steers clear of this nightmare.

I hired this company to install sod, a sprinkler system, and a raised garden. They had 3 guys come out, tried to finish it in one day, but it took 2. They were happy to come out again and willing to adjust the plans according to my desires. They did not ask for payment until the completed the project and their price was reasonable. I would use them again. I have used 3 different landscapers and they were my favorite.

I was going to give Kevin and his crew a five-star review. I hired them and they actually started working the same day I had some landscaping and some soaker hoses placed with rock on top. I had to turn my sprinkler system on to confirm my soaker hoses would work in April. I questioned them if we were to get another snowstorm would it freeze and was informed no the system would be fine. In May I noticed that the main system attached to my house had developed a leak because it did freeze from a snow storm we had. I called Kevin to replace the part he came out actually two days later and fixed the sprinkler system for me. I was very happy with their expedited customer service. In July the pipe to the sprinkler which was welded developed a leak I attempted to get hold of Kevin for 2 weeks, it was very difficult to contact him. We had appointments set up and he was a no-show or could not make it. Finally, he did come by and rewelded the pipe. This week I noticed the soaker hose that they replaced ended up leaking where they poked the holes to place the attachments to my plants. The holes are too large. My son ended up repairing I chose to not call Kevin again because it took so long to have him come out to repair the leaking sprinkler attachment. I had also asked them to place the soaker hose on top of the landscaping tarp and cover with the rocks in the event there were problems with the hose so now we have to had to move all the rock off and lift the landscaping tarp just to repair all of the leaking holes which there are about six of them. This review makes me sad that I changed it from a five to a one star.

We had a great experience with Colorado State Landscape. We had an awful backyard filled with rocks and weeds and they made short work of it. I was able to get on their schedule much faster than other companies we got quotes from. Within 4 hours, the entire backyard was sodded. Paid exactly what was quoted to me. Would highly recommend.

Kevin and his crew did a great job! Very professional and they do awesome work. Kevin also came out 2 days later to help me with my irrigation system and diagnosed and repaired a problem that I was unaware of. I will definitely be using CSL&D on my next home purchase.

We are very satisfied with the sod instillation performed by Kevin and his crew. Kevin responded immediately after we posted a quote request. Compared to other companies, his quote was very reasonable and the work was completed within a week. We highly recommend this company for sod instillation.

The owner was very responsive and I was able to schedule the sod removal/install the very next day. Overall they did a good job preparing the lawn and installing the sod. The cleanup was very well done. Overall I am very pleased with their work.

This team was quick, efficient and kept to their quote. I needed some rock removed and sod laid. They can and said it would take an hour and you could practically time them. They were in and out in an hour. The space we needed was probably 200 sq. Ft. They made it much less stressful than I expected. My neighbor took their information and plan on using them later this spring. The only thing I wish they could have done was explain a bit more about taking care of new sod. This is the first time I had new sod put in, but nothing a little research online didnâ t fix.
