Wrought Iron Fence - Install
I hired them to put in an iron gate. They probably do better on wooden fences, so if you have a wooden project, I'm sure they will do a good job. They seem very nice, and also seem to be getting started. They asked for payment of half up front, then in full before completing my project. I knew better than to pay in advance, but I did so, again, as they seem to be just getting started, and I wanted to help them if I could. I spent a very uncomfortable couple of weeks unsure if my project would be completed. It is not yet completely finished, I hope it will be. Just a word to the wise, for them and me, don't pay that final payment until the job is done. Again, if your fence is wood, I have no doubt they will do a good job.

Started off great, est 3 days to due the fence and 2 gates. Rain and other things delayed I had him give me 2 estimate, I took the one that covered my front yard. He called to tell me he was getting so much response from Home Advisor that he was making appt. to get other jobs. I sent him some pictures by text of things he needed to correct (squaring up, gate not closing). I noticed an attitude change. So before he finished the last gate, he said we need to talk. ok made appt. for him to come out and he tells me the measurement was wrong, and I owed him 575.00 more. Blamed the measurement on my husband, who was holding the dummy end of the tape measure. My response was, you should have come to us before you started the job or when you was aware of the measurement problem, not at the end of the job. He place the other gate on, and we can't open it. I texted him the day after he got his final payment and asked if he was coming to fit that gate. He texted back " not before I see you in court". My husband was told the fence and gates had a 2 year warranty. He left tools out side. We picked up 2 and still have a hammer on our deck. We also have had 2 flat tires, with crews in them.

"There is 40 ft that wasn't paid for and the bid was for 100 ft. The husband of this lady never had a tape in his hand my partner had that end and he walked beside me to see the measurement. The day we came here the guy and his father in law added the left side and told us to place post here and there. Then that made the gates bigger then what they were. Once again more footage. They still owe a remaining balance of over 700 dollars and I got video of me pulling tape. Then when they wrote out final check they still shorted us 45 more dollars. I got contract and video of it for the proof. They just wanted free fence."
