At Great American Green, Inc., (Est.1976) we do SYNTHETIC TURF - We have been installing synthetic turf for over 20 years at both residential and commercial locations. Residential applications include, dog run area, kids play areas, backyards, putting greens, soccer, lacrosse practice areas, bocce and croquet courts and fitness turf for workouts, backyard patios, courtyards and rooftops Commercial applications include; outdoor entertainment venues, veterinary clinics, dog lodging resorts and parks, kid's daycare centers, church playgrounds and sports turf for schools and teaching centers. Project was installation of synthetic Grass. After having the owner revisit the worksite to point out some issues, he commented **we did this work**. Metal spikes are showing around the turf, uneven areas underneath it, etc. We never saw or heard from them again. I even offered to pay them to come back. So if it is customer service you are after, I would suggest someone else.

Hired to do 100 sq ft area of backyard. Should have known not to hire this company when the guy didnt show up to do estimate on the day it was scheduled. Found out later it was the owner of the company. When he did show up on another day-after I called him, he brought us a sample of the artificial turf he was supposed to put down. He said turf was the same only a little shorter. However, the actually turf installed was a different color AND shorter. So what was the point of the sample? Also, the installers did not level the ground very well before laying tge turf. When we saw the end result, we were not happy. When we hired a professional, we thought they would automatically know to do this but obviously not. Owner was not accommodating when we expressed our concerns, did not offer to fix but said he would come rip it up himself if we didnt pay. We settled on a slightly different amount since we didnt get what we asked for-still paid too much for a shabby sales scheme and less than professional installation. Would expect better customer relations, dealing with the OWNER of a company. Would NOT recommend unless u like getting ripped off.

"You never know how things go south. Wanted the next day service just before Thanksgiving. Told her I could do that with turf we had in stock (100 ft.²). However, I just gave my last sample away for that turf that I had available. Left her a sample of something comparable to show her husband. I explained that it was going to be different but very close. (The turf we installed was actually more expensive than a sample. I left her). No problem. She said, very polite, very nice meeting scheduled it to be done before Thanksgiving, 2 days away. In comes the husband( whom I never met). Obviously some discord there. And an obvious failure to communicate the discussion that took place between his wife and myself. Offered to remove the turf. They decided to keep it, if I reduced the price. We charged them labor only turf was free. Husband was very rude on the phone swore at me up and down, hung up on me and send me nasty texts. And we were still polite. We do our best to make everybody happy. Some people you cannot please."

I posted a very positive review at the completion of my job. But a few months later the sod in my rear yard died. Darryl told me 1) I had the wrong sod (which they selected by the way) and 2) there was not enough sun. I paid $2k to have trees removed for better sun. Darryl agreed to replace the sod after several months. But his guys never finished the job because they ran out of sod and they gave never returned. And he won't answer phone calls, texts or email. Both front and back yards had poor soil and should have been conditioned first. I stopped the crew during install and told them this. The foreman checked with "the boss" and he told them nothing was heeded. Go figure - back yard dude and 1/3 of he front sod died, too. But over Darryl, they don't warranty sod. I do not recommend hiring these guys and i filed a complaint with the BBB.

"This customer was informed that there was too much shade for Bermuda and the turf was not guaranteed. The customer removed many trees and effort to decrease the shade. To no avail We decided in good customer relations to replace the Bermuda with Fescue sod . My apologies. We were 2 pieces short and never made it back out."

I had no idea how much labor was involved to prepare the area for artifical turf. The whole process took about 10 hours onsite. The end result is beautiful

This company SAID the right words that I needed to here. however, this company used workers who had no idea what they were doing. Not only this concerned me a lot but the project that I thought would last 2 days took a week. The grass that was suppose to be removed wasn't. Some spots still had the old grass .

We've lived in our home for 28 years and it was well past time to update our front yard. We had a difficult island area that desperately needed to be cleared out, in addition to a garden running across the front of the house that ivy had taken over. Darryl came up with a wonderful solution for all, and while the rain and nasty weather caused the project to begin and proceed more slowly than anticipated, it was well worth the wait. We're now so anxious for spring so we can see everything truly come to life and enjoy our greatly upgraded curb appeal.

Darryl and his team did a fantastic job re-vamping are backyard. He was very easy to work with, had great ideas, gave best estimate, and stuck to his budget. I was also very please with the professionalism of his crew, they were very considerate and always cleaned everything up with they were done for the day. I will definitely use him for our next project.

I had great expectations for my backyard when I selected Great American Green. Unfortunately my backyard now floods and I had to go hire another contractor to finish the job. I tried several times to get Great American Green to come back to fix my issues but had zero success.

"This particular gentleman had existing drainage issues that were caused by a contractor who crushed a drainpipe putting in an outdoor fireplace. He Tried to leverage us with threats of a poor rating until we repaired the issue. His previous 1st one star rating was pulled down by Home Adviser because drainage was not in our proposal, (which by the way he refused to sign, stating didn't believe in them.) After we refused to undo the damage caused by the previous contractor. He changed his rating to a half star based on customer service."

Darryl and his team poured a concrete slab with a block knee wall on one side. The work they did was good, done in a short time frame, and they cleaned up the work area well before leaving. I would hire him again for future work.

Received phone call from Darryl the next day and within two weeks the job was completed. How often does that happen? My husband and I used Great American Green to install a small dog run using artificial turf. Darryl is incredibly conscientious, thorough and kept us informed of the progress every step of the way. He and his crew left the job site immaculate. We will definitely be using Great American Green again and recommended the company to our friends and neighbors. It was a pleasure working with the company.
