I called Great Lakes Door on a Sunday afternoon, not really expecting a response on a Sunday, but within 1/2 hour, I got a call back, and Keith was here Monday morning right when he said he would be here - did a VERY quick job of the repair and the cost was very reasonable and the service was wonderful. I even asked him a couple of questions about my 2nd garage door (drive-thru) and he took the time to answer them thoroughly. I will use his services again. Ken Barnes, Taylor, MI

I used this contractor from Great Lakes Doors. And they did come in and replace the springs and cable on my door. However, one of the cables did break, and they would not stand behind their product, saying that they did not replace the cable, yet they did. And would not come back out to fix it because it was a weekend or week night. And then it would cost extra $175 for them to even just come out and just look at the door. I had it done by another contractor. I would not recommend them. They do not stay behind their work and that's the end.

"Great Lakes Door and Service stands behind all the work we do. This homeowner called on Saturday evening and said that her cable was broken. We pulled her workorder and the only work we provided was replacing both of the springs on the door. We did not replace any cables. She wanted a tech out that night or on Sunday which would have been considered emergency service. We did let her know it would not cost her anything to have a tech out first thing Monday morning and that we would not charge a service call but would have to charge the cost of the part ( about $20)."

This was a repair for me on a rental house. they went to the house see the problem gave me a quoit to fix it. They called as soon as they started and called as soon as it was finishedall in the same day. They let me pay credit over the phone and then sent me a receipt of the work that was done so I would have it for taxes. They were very good

Keith was very nice on the phone and quote me a price for the work and the quote did not change. He arrived on time, he as friendly and professional. It only took about 20 minutes to complete the job of replacing the garage door springs. He was very neat and cleaned up after himself. I was very happy with the servcie and would recommend Great Lake Door to friends and I will use them again if the need arises.

Keith was super prompt in returning the phone call. He was able to arrive on Saturday within the 2 hour window we had agreed upon. He was up front about the costs associated with the replacement of our garage door spring. When he arrived he quickly pointed out the difference in the door I described over the phone and what type of door I actually have. The cost was a little higher but I agreed for him to continue partly because I had made a mistake describing my door and the increase in cost was not substantial, plus I needed it fixed! Keith fixed my door, greased the tracks and was gone within 30 minutes. Quick and professional.

Keith called almost immediately to confirm order and in-stock parts on service truck, and later to confirm arrival time in same day. Arrived when promised with correct parts, then quietly and efficiently had our door back in service in about 20 minutes at a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone, a true professional in his venue!

Although the repairman arrived pretty late(because fresh snow/ ice that had just fallen/ formed that morning and his truck was involved in an accident), when he did arrive he was very professional, gave me options as to the repairs that were needed, and I was very happy with their prices(in comparison to other estimates I received). Lastly, although I only had a small repair done I was pleased to learned that they would give me a one year warranty on any labor needed on the entire garage door.
