The company did a good job cleaning my chimney and firebox. Staff was very personable and friendly. My one criticism would be their lack of follow up on another job that I asked them to provide a bid for. They brought an electrician to the job specifically to prepare a bid for a separate lighting job, and I also asked for a bid on minor project involving my fireplace. We had a lengthy discussion about different possible options, but I never received either bid and did not hear from them subsequently.

I hired Great Things to do a cleaning of my chimney and fireplace. They did a thorough job and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Very courteous and professional. Price was reasonable. My only complaint relates to a separate, potential job for which I asked them to prepare a bid. I was interested in having the company do an installation of canned lighting in my living room as well as some possible work on my fireplace. Although I discussed the project with them at length, they never contacted me back with an actual bid or proposal.

They were fast, efficient, and very responsive. I would work with them again in the future.

John did a good job and kept the work area clean. He is very easy to work with.

I highly recommend John Bowles!!! I found him and his employee to be punctual, completely capable, trustworthy, fair, respectful and a pleasure to work with! I was at such ease that I left them for hours in my home while I ran errands. John even stopped what he was doing in order to help my elderly neighbor who was unable to get into her house due to a broken garage door. I'm already creating another list of things needed to be done at my house and it will be John Bowles /Great Things Inc. That I'll be calling!!!!

I told John he was a genius. I meant it. If you want a "can do" guy who is logical and gets to the root cause then John is your man. The quality of workmanship is excellent.

John did good work on several smallish tasks. There was a little problem with follow through on one. I will hire him again.

John Bowles did an excellent job of repairing my foundation. The project came in under bid and was performed as promised. I would recommend John to anyone looking for a responsible contractor.

John works very hard to please his customers. He's done a fine job on my kitchen remodel and has also provided me sound advice for the related floor and hallway work I undertook myself. I am very pleased with the quality of his work, his honesty, his easy telephone access, and the quality of his workers and electrical sub-contractor. I can confidently recommend his company!

John did a great job on my bathroom and kitchen remodel. John Bowles is very personable and my husband and I felt comfortable leaving him at our home to work, whether we were home or not. Mr. Bowles was very professional and I would definitely recommend him to someone else. One thing I liked was that John and his crew always cleaned up after themselves, and they did a great job all the way around!

John Bowles did a great job on our cracked foundation. He cleaned out all the rust and loose material, then sealed and covered the crack. He also water sealed the foundation along the perimeter of the entire house. The entire project came in under the estimate. John and his crew are self motivated and they kept us informed as to their progress and never missed an appointment. We felt comfortable having John working for us and we have added more projects to his list. We can easily recommend John to anyone looking for an excellent contractor.

Mr. Bowles is very professional and courtious. He was the first contractor to call which shows great initiative, and I felt comfortable in hiring him and his crew to do the job!!

The company owner John Bowles lacks professonalism and let his personal life interfere with completing the job. He was frequently here with employees after 5:00 p.m. which interefered with our family dinners. He made many mistakes including installing wainscotting above bull nose tile covering the bullnose. He stained the brand new marble countertop. His employees did not exercise any restraint during the demolition phase and damaged tile in the next door bathroom as well as the bedroom closet. Nothing that was removed during the demolition phase was reused or recycled, just broken up and taken to the dumps despite our asking to have the door and window trim saved to be put back up in our 1926 home. Much of the demolition was left in the front of our house for weeks in trash cans and loose including broken glass, wood with nails and metal pipes.

John did his best to give my project the attention it needed despite his busy schedule. Overall the project came out looking great and I would recommend him and his team to anyone who is looking to get a high quality fence installed around their house.

Was extremely impressed by how easy it was to communicate, and be understood by the contractor as to what was needed. It was a pleasure working with this company. I will not hesitate in giving them my requests, which I intend doing in the very near future. Job well done.

The rainy weather prevented the timely completion of the project, but this was not John's fault. He missplaced my address and phone number that caused him to be late for his last appointment. When the weather cleared, John came over and satisfactorily finished the work.

John bowels performed an outstanding job. Exceeded expectations since our "preferred vendor" was not willing to do the work John Completed. Since I am the facilities manager here at Extron Logistics, I have absolutely no problem with having Mr. Bowles' company added to our preferred vendor list nor would I hesitate to call upon his company in the future.

The job was completed as promised and at the promised cost. Since I supplied the door, it would have been reasonable to grumble about the second trip to the vendor to pick up parts that were not provided during the first trip. No grumble no added cost. Looks nice too.

We actually ended up using John on several door projects around our new house rather than to install a new fence. John consistently went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with his work and we were! He's very skilled and has great attention to detail.
