Great Window Shades

I ordered a bypass shutter for a doorway, a shutter for a large window, and a shade for a bathroom window that was in the shower in May 2020. I still do not have anything except the window shade and they have my 50% deposit. They said it would be 6 weeks. They would not call back. Home Advisor got them to call me and install the window shade. They said that the shutters would be delayed for a few weeks due to covid.

I contacted the company and they came out to my house I talked to the designer who measured for my blinds. She and I talked about my install for my French patio doors which are metal one opens one does not. She told me the door would open to 90 degrees due to the headrails and I said was fine. I was told it would take 2 weeks for delivery, I called on a Tuesday after the two weeks past she said they would be in on Friday but magically they came in on Wednesday. The install seems to go smoothly except when I had to tell the guys that the door was metal. He told his assistant he needed to get the other screws from the truck. The guy did not recognize the door was a different material. He never used a level or measuring tape. they left with the blinds up looking nice. I tested the door and it would not even open to 45 degrees without hitting the crown/header of the other side of the french door. I called Sherry the owner and she scheduled the guys to come back out. They moved the blinds around several times to get the blinds so the door would open. This left SEVERAL holes in my door, by several I mean 30. They tried to patch some of them but it is the worst patch job ever. After several emails with the emails, she offered to refund my installation fee (100.00) only. Or have her handyman come out and fix my door. I was done with the company at this point since I did not trust them. I opted for the installation to be refunded and she has yet to refund that. She is even going as far as accusing me of being a person who complains to just gets things for free. I assure you I am not. I have since purchased new blinds and installed them myself. I asked why she did not suggest another product and she said I did not ask for a design consultation just an install. This company has no business integrity. They do not stand behind what they say or customer satisfaction. I would not hire them.

The staff was all very friendly and accommodating, my only complaint that brought down my stars is that I did have issues with the amount of time it took for the blinds and shade much longer than expected to be made and I also had issues with installers being later than scheduled.

Drapery installation service provided was unacceptable and inferior. An installer was sent to home who did not have the skill and training necessary to install draperies. Expressed concerns to owner who was not willing to correct poor drapery installation without charging another service call. Would absolutely find another company to do business with when it comes to any window treatment business.

Ms. Gavin was on time. And very professional she was a delight to talk to. And the tool that she uses very cool I enjoyed that. Miss Gavin was very nice and understanding and knew everything we wanted it and explain to us how it would work. I would recommend Great Windows to anyone who wants to have their Windows decorate with blinds.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable about the products and offered helpful suggestions. I didn't feel at all rushed in making a decision, and she provided a quote on location - no waiting to get it a day or two later.

The plantation shutters look beautiful. However, the sales person, Sherry, was not as responsive as she might have been to my questions between the time I placed my order and the delivery. The installer also promised to bring back some small parts that were missing during the installation "within a few days". I did not receive them until I called several weeks later and they were then mailed to me to put in myself. Not a big deal, but shows less than stellar customer service.

Blackout shades look and work just as we hoped!

Installed broken blinds and tried to cover it up. Made an appt never showed up or called.Refused to then schedule an new appt anytime after hours after I took time off work for the appt never showed up for. Would not replace broken blinds only would send out for repair. Owner would not speak to me instead hide behind employees.

Good product but miscommunication between office & installer resulted in too many unproductive trips to my home & too many excuses to finish what became a 5 minute fix.

This company goes the extra mile. Besides installing an absolutely perfect window shade, they changed out the broken toggles on 7 blinds from the previous company. They did this without complaint and came back for the second round without charging me a thing. Along the way, all of the employees from phone contact and sales rep to installers were courteous and helpful. I recommend them at the very highest.

They hung curtains on the sliding glass door for $75 but they were hung too high and uneven. When I called to let them know, they wanted to charge me $50 to come back out to fix it.

Fabulous company. Mike had to stop the job due to the fact that Blinds.com sent the wrong size. Had to reorder...and resechduled Great Window Shades again. This time he brought his brother and they whipped it out..only to find out that the 3rd set was also the wrong size. They will be back to put those up when they arrived... They were professional looking and helped me do what I wanted done. Great company and highly recommend them.
