Refinish Already Installed Cabinets

We found Javier on this website.. We donâ t live in Florida so all of the hiring part was remote. We talked with several companies and decided to go with Javier because he was very straight to the point, he explain the process in a way we understood. Javier and his team outdid themself. Javier delivered on every level. The work was great and CLEAN. This process can be very dirty but they left the house as clean as it was when they came in. Javier and his team treated the house as it was theirs and that set them a part from other contractors we hired to do other work for us. The kitchen looks great! We are highly recommend him.

Refinish Already Installed Cabinets

Orlando, Javier and the entire crew were great. In South Florida it is sometime difficult for jobs to finish in a timely manner, but from day one they were here every day early until job was completed. They left the job neat and clean while working and most importantly the finished job is beautiful. I wish I had made the decision to refinish my cabinets sooner as they look like new cabinets. I highly recommend Green Coast Woodwork for a beautiful professional finished product.

Very professional did a great job only one thing I think I paid a lot of money for a rather small kitchen cabinets to be painted $4,500

Thank you for the review Mrs. Rosemarie. the reason why your kitchen seems to be a bit high on the price was that you hire an unprofessional company before us to paint your cabinets and as a consequence, we have to strip the paint (paint on the cabinets was falling off) and then start over. I explain all of this to your dear baseband before I sent the quote and also show him how bad the paint was on the cabinets. I hope this explains your concern a little better. thank you very much. Remodel a Kitchen

Working with Green Coast headed by Orlando and his crew was a great experience. He and his sons were very professional, and worked efficiently and cleanly. Orlando stepped in and took charge of my kitchen remodeling as contractor when other plans fell through, and went over and above what he was originally hired to do. I highly recommend him and his company, and will hire them again when I have another project.

Build Custom Cabinets

Working with Orlando was fantastic. He did several jobs in my house from my master bathroom, resurfaced my entire kitchen. And new quartzite counter top and the a 350 gallon saltwater aquarium. He and his team was always on time, very professional and trustworthy as my wife and two girls were at home the whole and his craftsmanship exceeded all of my expectations.

We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. While HomeAdvisor will continue its background check program to the extent possible, these closures could prevent some background checks from being performed. Please be advised that, during this period, if we could not perform a background check, HomeAdvisor will allow the business into the network and match the business to consumers. As affected government agencies and courts begin to re-open, we will resume our program in those jurisdictions. Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade. Please note that HomeAdvisor does not confirm local licensing. Do your own research using online ratings, reviews and through phone interviews before hiring a company.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
