An Update -- Green Diaz came out to address an issue water damage to our deck. After completing this work for considerably more than initially quoted we realized that the deck was still leaking. We have been trying to get someone from Julio's team to come out for a month, and every time they make a commitment to do so, no one actually shows up. He's blown us off 4 times so far, and shows no commitment to actually fix this issue, which is what we had paid him to do. He does not respond to texts, rarely calls back, and does not care about your time. Original review below: While these guys did decent work and might have been priced out ok, they treated me like a fool when I made suggestions about electrical components that ultimately ended up being correct. Their electrician fried a bunch of low voltage lights by connecting them directly to a 120V mainline rather than using a transformer. Never got reimbursed for those lights.

The job was left undone. He abandoned it, he said he was coming back and he never did. Now I am looking for someone that can finish the job

They do not notify you what are they going to do, and I feel like I am hanging in the air, and that is bad customer service. We finally got hold of this Contractor this morning and people came to work. Keep me informed of what is happening. Tomorrow is supposed to be the completion of their contract.

Green Diaz repaired our back deck and we were very satisfied with the results. The work was high quality and looks great. Julio communicated very well with us, providing consistent oversight of the project and following through on all commitments. We would happily hire Green Diaz to perform any additional work in the future.

Julio and his crew did an amazing job rebuilding our exterior stairs! They work fast. They put great attention into the details. They always kept the work area clean. The craftmanship was not only solid but beautiful. They were really pleasant to work with and the price was extremely fair. Very happy customers!!

Run from them, not a company with he integrity. The job was not completed and the owner never came by for the inspection and he never asked if they are any concerns.

Comment: My experience is actually pretty similar to Rebecca C. (Daly City) review. I hired Julio to complete a new deck and power wash in May 2020. I will give it to Julio. He is a good salesman. He is very friendly and responsive when trying to get the sale. I chose him due to the good reviews and I thought his price was competitive even though I only compared his quote to one or two others. When the job is over, good luck trying to get a response from him. I never got an invoice from him. So, I kept following up to get it. He did not respond for a while and when he finally did, he said he would get it to me multiple times. He never did and I just gave up. It was not worth it anymore. Prior to that, the work of his crew was fine. He would come over to check on things at the end of the workday which I appreciated. I did ask him to have his team save some dirt that was exposed when they took off the old porch. Instead, he claims that he FORGOT to tell them and it was too late since the new wood was covering it already. I also noticed that he would not really talk to my fiance or explain anything to her. It was always communicated to me. He promised to provide me with paint options for the deck early in the process but of course, he gives it to me early in the morning the day-of and expects my fiance and me to make a decision that same morning. His crew also left some random wood, nails (loose and 2 boxes), water bottles, etc. after they were all done. The new wood on the porch had some tree sap spots (which is probably not their fault) but I am not an expert in this field and Julio never answered my questions on that. So, overall, I think the deck looks nice and has decent value but the terrible communication/customer service by Julio, trash/waste left by his team, rush to make paint decisions, etc. taint my experience with him and his company. I would not recommend his company.

Very responsive, pleasant, hardworking group

We had a porch project that needed to be done quickly and needed a creative solution (prior homeowners had not properly sealed the porch area, and damage to the area put the interior of our home at risk of water damageâ we were laying new pavers and needed the problem addressed very quickly). Julio Diaz (an owner) responded personally to our home advisor work request, came out to the house next day, and was very knowledgeable about the products available to complete our project. He had a team working on our project within days. Julio remained our POC throughout, was very responsive by phone, and visited the project site at every key point in the process. Julio also coordinated well with the company that was working on our pavers. Project was done in less than a week (ahead of schedule) and enabled us to stay on track for our larger paver project. Julio even installed some railing posts for our porch without additional labor charge. Would highly recommend. My wife is already asking if we can call them back for additional projects.

While I approve of the work performed... I would have preferred to have had the job completed in a shorter period. There were some delays. Overall, I am pleased with the job and I have also discussed another project with the contractor.

Julio has great experience, good communication skills, and an excellent team.

Delivered what was promised at a competitive cost. Julio’s carpenter created a much improved version of the outdoor staircase that I had. I am likely to hire Julio Diaz again for my next project.

Competitively priced, but you get what you pay for. They did a quality job reframing and resurfacing our decks. They did a terrible job staining and sealing the decks. If you choose to go with Green Diaz I would strongly consider hiring a painter to stain the decks.
