The whole experience starting off really well with Tim trying to work with my budget, answering my questions, etc. Unfortunately it was all just a decoy to hire him. He spent over $3,000 and didn't even get all the materials needed so he kept having to ask for more money. The materials for the entire project don't even cost $3,000. He was supposed to purchase at least 4" of 3-way topsoil and he only purchased 1" of Sandy Loam, only bought 120 bricks when 300 was estimate for a 70' long by 3' tall wall and he only did a 60' by 2' wall (I bought 75) This is just the beginning too; he is a LIAR and I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

Furniture - Repair
Tim is an excellent handyman! Very polite, professional, knowledgeable, patient and his quote is very reasonable. He repaired my broken sofa/recliner in less than an hour! I also asked for his help to put together the valance of my vertical blinds, which came off place and felt down. He put it together and hanged it...just to help me out. I highly recommend him for many projects around the house and wish him success in his business!

Landscape - Soil, Sand, Mulch and Rock Delivery
I was given a quote that was too high for me so we renegotiated. We agreed upon a job and a price and just when he was supposed to come and do it, he said the price wasn't high enough so he was going to cut back from two drains to one industrial drain. I told him we had agreed already on the job. He said it was just as good or better to have the industrial drain and it was half the price of two. I agreed. He did a great job except for what he did with the dirt piles left over. I told him he could dispose of them behind my warehouse as long as he packed it down. He left a mess but I liked the guy so oh well.

He was on time and very helpful. His estimate was thrown a curve when things didnt work out as he expected, but being the professional he was, he worked it out with me before sending me a bill for an amount different than what was expected.

I would recommend him with the notation that he may need to come back to fix what he didn't do right the first time. But he comes back. He does show on time; his estimate is right on with the time he puts in and I like that he is upfront on material costs. He's very friendly, educated in the green ways of building and recycling; and he was very diligent on only fixing what needed to be fixed rather than fixing what didn't need fixing. I really liked that.

"This rating and review is unfair. i replaced a 6x6 cedar timber with a pressure treated 6x6 (5.5x5.5) and a 1" gal. bracket, which was not existing previously, causing the timber to rot. I saved the customer money by not renting shoring equipment. this review is not fair or correct."

While his work was satisfactory, his estimate was grossly inaccurate. The work took 18 hours instead of 10 and he hadn't completed everything. Additionally, the cost of the work was 60ore than his estimate and he was still going to charge me for the work yet to be completed. I terminated his services and am finding someone else to complete the work

"For the 8 hrs. Over est. The client was only charged 50% of the hourly rate. The only job left was to install knobs and pulls on the cabinetry which had not been ordered by the end of the job, The cost to Install the hardware was to be included in the remaining balance. We can not have everything we want for free."
