Ten plus feet of my basement stone wall was falling in. The original contract called for excavating dirt outside, pushing the wall back into place, pouring a footer next to the wall and place 4 steel beams against the wall to support it. I gave David a check for half of the project cost, and work was supposed to begin the next week. Five weeks went by so I called. David told me that the secretary had lost my file. He promised that work would begin in a few days. My second concern, after the lost paperwork, was when they showed up to begin work, they began to remove the temporary support I had installed before digging the dirt away from the outside to relieve the pressure. I heard yelling from the basement that the wall was going to collapse. I was informed that the original plan wasn't going to work that a concrete wall would have to be poured to replace the stone. This change would cost an extra $3000. Looking back, I would question why a professional would suggest a repair that he later said couldn't be done. I am sorry now that I didn't back out of the contract because things got worse. The connection between the poured concrete wall and the original stone is terrible. Many of the original stones that are still in place should have been removed because they are loose. There are holes everywhere that should have been filled. You can see daylight through many of them. In addition, there is a 3/8 to 1/2 inch gap between the new wall and the sill of the house that runs for 10 feet. That means that the new wall is not supporting anything. Besides the shoddy work, they left a mess. My yard has deep grooves where the trailer and excavator were driven. A large bush was completely destroyed, and the dirt along the outside wall settled 18 inches creating a pond for rain water to collect. I had made calls for several days to Green Mountain Basement Solutions. Their answering machine immediately picked up and sent me to a mailbox that was full. That pretty much sums up the lack of professionalism from this company.

Green Mountain Basement solutions were great about stopping the leaks in my basement by installing drains and a subpump and so far no leaking to report but they left a huge mess behind them and damage done to my walls and the new concrete covering that they put over the drains was done sloppy and uneven. If it were my company I would have taken the time to clean behind me and I would have left the home the way it was when I entered as much as possible. They were in a rush to move to the next job so the quality of their work was lacking. I felt like it was a rush job.

Green Mountain Basement Solutions did a great job getting my basement dry and then putting in a cement floor. They are all very professional and hard-working and were great at communicating the status of the project at all times. The musty smell in my house is gone, and we can now use the basement to store items, which has created a lot more living space in our house. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

They forgot 1bolt at the bottom of one of the I beams. Water still coming in where they were unable to place a drain. Time will tell if this was a value for the money.

They are good people, fast service, explained the product (sump pump) and what would be done. They were in and out from consultation to estimate to end product in one week!!! I would highly reccomend them!
