Overall I am very pleased with the finished product and the fact they were able to schedule me ahead of time. The ONLY complaint I had with these guys is the lack of communication & coordination between sub-contractors at the main office level. Everyone did their job well, some going above & beyond to ensure things were done right. Would have been nice if the "Boss" would have taken time to come back out to check on progress or even the final product rather than relying on one of the last few subs.

This project is not complete as of 9/20/16. Communication is terrible and I would not recommend them to anyone else. If the job is ever completed, I will be surprised. The main reason we chose an outside contractor was to eliminate the stress of handling subs. There was to be a supervisor assigned to oversee the project, but it looks like most everyone either quit, was terminated or went on leave. Did I mention communication was/is terrible?

"Dear Home Owner, I see you have concerns about the cabinetry and workmanship on your project. I believe that in your project we did have manufacturer issues which were addressed by the manufacturer and Green Star quickly and you were provided with replacements of items that were not to your standard as well as unacceptable by our standards. With every replacement order that was given it takes an andditional 2-3 weeks to be manufactured and delivered to our facility and if there are any damages to products in transit those were immediately rejected and sent in for replacement. I apologize for the length of time for your project, however we have been working with you as well as the manufacturer to make sure it is your familiy's standard as well as our own standard of craftsmanship and quality. We as a company take great pride in our cabinetry installers and carpenters. Every time we send them to a home we know they are doing their best to make it perfect for the home owner. So we do realize your frustration with the manufacturer's time delays with your project. We have done and are doing everything we are able to meet your needs and concerns."

We really enjoyed it, and it was done nicely. We had no idea about roofing, and they explained to us from start to finish. Now the outside of the house is excellent and it is one of the brightest houses in our community. I would definitely recommend this company for sure. Their price was reasonable, too. We will definitely be hiring them again for future work!

I had my kitchen remodeled in May, and though I have to admit- it took a little longer than I had hoped, it was well worth it. There were some unexpected set backs, but Green Star handled everything so well! The installers were all very respectful in my home, and such hard workers. My kitchen looks even better than I had anticipated and my friends love it! This is definitely a company that knows what they are doing, and I would (and DO!) suggest them to everyone who is curious about some home improvement! Thank you Green Star ! I will definitely be calling you to work on our Pergola soon! ;)

An absolute nightmare is the best explanation for this kitchen remodel. Two to four weeks turned in to eight. After demo was done and they were ready to install the floor, it was not on site, it was not even in stock, two and a half week delay. I was adamant that the floor was to be the same wood and at the same height as the dinning room. the dinning room is Birch and the kitchen is now Hickory and a quarter inch higher. We did not replace all the cabinets, only a select few and add a few including a microwave cabinet. We were asked to buy a smaller microwave! we had Granite counter tops installed, they also installed a Granite backs splash that we didn't want, when it was removed, the counter top was removed we discovered that the counter top had been installed crooked. The tile back splash is a mixture of glass and stone, there were chips in the glass, parallel lines and the end were not finished properly. When they corrected the problem, they gouged the walls and the the drywall repair is rough and it shows in the $50 paint job that they charged me $800 to paint. They corrected the painting problem at least twice and it still looks like an amateur did it. the charged me over $3600 three cabinets and a refrigerator surround. I kept the old cabinets for the garage, and just found a cabinet that they replaced that could have been used but they charged me for a smaller one. So not only did I loose cabinet space I paid for a cabinet I didn't need. I believe I'll call the Beter Bussiness Burea. The contract called for a door in the sun room to the outside with a 4X4 deck and steps to the ground. They charged me $4000 to lengthen a the 4X4 deck to 10X4. They charged me $7000 in overages when it was their salesman who screwed up the contract. I would not hire these people to again to do the most menial job!

Green Star completed a total renovation of our master bathroom. All of their employees were awesome to work with! Joe was such a great help with all the difficulties we had with having a log home and not having easy access to plumbing and electric. I only gave 4 stars because we were told they were going to start the end of one week or beginning of the next, so we tore our bathroom out, and it was two weeks before they actually started so we were without our master for 2 weeks longer than planned. Once the project started, the were punctual and showed up when scheduled. More Cons would be...The floor is lower than it should be as it leads into our bedroom, which should have been matched up better and the sub floor wasn't put down all the way and had to be floated by the flooring guys, which wasn't level and dips down at entry, hopefully it doesn't result in the floor tile cracking in the future. Also, the drywall work looks bad and still could use some sanding and you can see the putty under the paint in several spots, even though we used an almost white color paint that is usually easy on the eye with drywall. Green Star did offer to come and fix it, but I am not interested in having the mess in my house again, I will have my husband do it, so we can contain the mess and won't have to have people traipsing through the house. All that said, I am actually happy with the look of my bathroom, and probably would use them again if we decide to hire out again instead of doing the project ourselves, and would request Joe to lead the project and Troy to help him. They were great respectful guys, and I actually missed them when they left! ...just may make the hubby do the drywall and have learned to pay more attention to a few things next time.

They are very slow and do not connect with customer. It has been almost eight weeks since I signed contract, no work or calls. I had to call them and they were not helpful. Some repairs could not wait and I called another vendor..They have not started work................

We did pull the notes on your file and it seems you did call in and speak to a representative on 3/30. And they explained an estimated start time to you. Also according to your written contract your estimated start date was 8-10 weeks and this put you at 4/6-4/20. There is also additional paperwork with your file that explains the process and projected start times as well. I will consult with the production team and get you on the schedule as soon as possible."

I purchased my first home in August 2015 and wanted to remodel almost everything in the home. After getting many quotes I decided Green Star was my best option. I felt very comfortable that the job would be done right and in a timely fashion. Their staff is personal and professional. I trusted that they would do everything I asked and more. I was blown away by this company. Every day was like coming home to a gift and that was because the communication was at its peak. I am so thankful I went with Green Star and would recommend them to everyone. This company is professional, reliable and does quality work. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

Every time I call,someone is always there for me to talk to. Kyle is on top of things. the work is not entirely finished but I expect it to be all finished shortly. I will call them again if the need arises.

Kyle put a flier in my mailbox and since other companies would not respond to my requests for estimates I called him. When we met I told him what I needed done new gutters and downspouts, porch redone, windows wrapped, and 3 doors replaced. No problem for Green Star home improvements. No job is to small for them. When the windows were not wrapped to Kyle's expectations he had them redone at no cost to me. This is why I called him back a few months later for renovations of kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, a powder room, installing new hardwood floors, knocking out 2 walls and updating master bedroom. Kyle new what I wanted for kitchen cabinets. He drove me to the cabinet place, tile places and Home Depot. He also suggested arching my openings to kitchen and living room. Green Star workers were friendly, professional, honest, and capable of doing all work. I would definitely recommend Kyle and Green Star Home Improvements. I am ecstatic with the results. My friends say my home is worthy of Homerama. Thank you Kyle.

All I want to say is, I wouldn't if I were you! Six months, for a 1 week job. Issue after issue, after issue for such a simple job. Employee of Green Star comment..."Another dissatisfied Green Star customer!" I just wouldn't call if I were you.

They need to improve communication with customer. Our one week project took one and a half months due to a lack of communication between themselves, scheduling and work order changes. You need to get everything in writing to avoid unexpected increased costs. The skilled employees were approachable. They need to be more attentive to the details and the wishes of the customer.

Greenstar did a bathroom remodel for us earlier this year. We were very satisfied with the completed project. Greenstar people were great to work with, dependable, and quick to reply when contacted. The project was completed in a very reasonable amount of time and with concern for our satisfaction and quality. They also do a great job of keeping the project area clean!

We were looking at installing a "walk-in" tub in our bathroom, and in researching them, chose one that actually offered a person to come to our house and measure and talk with us about them. All other companies wanted me to send them measurements and they would give a quote. We had a great young man come out and look at our bathroom and go over all the options with us. He made it very painless and was so helpful in deciding what was best for us. Then the folks who came out and installed it were very careful not to tear anything up that they didn't have to and cleaned up everything afterward. We also were able to leave them in the house after we left and felt very comfortable having them lock up and leave. Would definitely recommend this company!
