We are licensed dealers for EverRest, Trane, Amana, Goodman, and Heil brands and we routinely service and install most any other make or model, too. Gas Furnace / Forced Air Heating System - Repair
Lost heat Dec 23rd and they came out on Christmas eve. Extremely nice, professional and very reasonably priced. I will contact them again for more services, like an annual maintenance plan. Awesome!

I truly feel like I was taken advantage of by a company that realized I was a bit helpless. The initial response time after being contacted from ServiceMagic was great. The technician was very late to the appointment and when he did arrive, he got a call to a more important job and left saying he'd return. As for the actual job, he quoted the elapsed time between when vent filters should be changed so I personally changed them while he left. When he came back he said I was a little low on freon so topped that off which was his sole act. The bill however arrived well over the quoted service price and unitemized.

"We only make appts. for 1st thing in the morning as we can't be sure of what will happen from call to call. We set windows of time to arrive. This an aftn. call. We were there during the window agreed to. The customers A/C was frozen-up. He was shown this and we told him that instead of sitting there twiddling our thumbs for 2-hrs (which we would have charged for) we would set the unit off to thaw and would go catch another call...then come back. We ONLY charged for 1 trip, 1-hr labor, and 2lbs freon. He was told the labor rate before we came out. We couldn't quote anything else b/c we didn't know what was wrong until we checked it out."

Central Humidifier Service
He was unsuccessful in his first attempt, but he didn't give up. He got an expert from another state on the line and solved the problem that my regular HVAC company had washed its hands of as "too hard to handle." Maybe he should have followed this route the first time and charged me for one visit, but I'm just happy to have my humidifier working after two companies had failed, including the one that installed it in the first place!

We recently bought the house and noticed that the bonus room was not getting cool air. Greer quickly identified that the airflow was OK, and all we needed was a tuneup (previous owners had neglected) and everything was working fine. We appreciated the honesty and fast work!

I was given several different options to choose from. The work was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. No complaints yet; keeping fingers crossed when summer hits and the cooling system is stressed by the North Carolina heat.

My AC went out during 100 degree weather. Dave Greer, Jr. came out the same day while others said it would be up to a week before they could come out. He diagnosed the issue promptly and accurately, explaining each step along the way. I had cold air again within the hour.

Company owner arrived an hour late after calling & saying he would be 30 min later than expected. Said on the phone that job would, hopefully, be done that day, but left after 5 hours on the job (not counting lunch) due to having to fabricate something that was part of their original quote. Took 4-1/2 hours the next day, instead of 2-3 estimated. Employee was nice, helpful, and appears to have done good work, hence 3/5 stars. Some details changed without full disclosure. Owner talks down to females & talks to the male present instead, even if not the homeowner. Poor interpersonal skills and has an air of superiority in person and email.

After requesting from servicemagic, I received a phone call the next morning. It was a Saturday and kind of chilly. The woman wanted to make sure that it was not an emergency and that we had heat. Since we only needed our furnace maintenanced, I thanked her and she said someone would be calling me. Monday morning Mr. Greer himself called me and was very inoformative and helpful. We scheduled a house call in which he arrived promptly. He even called before he got there to make sure it was still a good time. I highly recommend Greer's and will continue to use them for both my heating and airconditioning needs.
