Jim found the solution for a serious polarity problem I was facing for several weeks which caused the power to cycle off and on frequently. It was unsolvable by a earlier electrician. He methodically traced and identified the problem location......and fixed it. Professional, reasonable, prompt, and friendly.

Jim arrived at the appointed time. He rewired a light/fan unit and installed a new switch. He was professional and competent and got things up and running for me again.

Jim put up a ceiling fan for me at my 1890s Victorian Saratoga home. This was not an easy job as there was no direct way to get to the fixture because of some pocket doors and Victorian era gas iron piping. Upon arriving he gave me several options, and told me of the one he would recommend. Even though it seemed complicated to me, he managed to do it! I was impressed! Great job and he cleaned up afterwards. Previous to his work as an electrician, he ran Grove Computer Services and fixed a lot of computer issues for me that no big box store would touch. I figured he would take a "diagnose and fix" kind of approach as an electrician and he didn't disappoint in this area. I would hire again.

This electrician was at our 1920s bungalow four times. Instead of admitting he did not know how to fix our electricity, he just kept giving excuses. Not only did he not fix the problem, he created others. Now we are left with a hole in our stairwell, a blocked off outlet, and lights that no longer work downstairs and upstairs. In addition, he left a horrible mess each time he came and he didn't even properly install our outlet covers, a simple task. Now we are out several hundred dollars and have to have someone come in to fix his mess. I strongly discourage anyone from hiring this person. He is not welcome back in our house!

Jim encountered some issues with my wiring and was able to remedy the problem with rewiring. He did a really good job correcting the problem. Obviously, it cost a lot more money to do the anticipated work but well worth the work done.

he searched for a grounded outlet in my 55 year old house and then installed a three prong grounded wall outlet in one place. he also advised me on what it might cost to update the wiring in the whole house.onlycomplaint; his info said no travel fee, but he did charge me a travel fee.

I have an old home with plaster and lathe, but still Jim agreed to do the work we needed. He worked at a pace and rate that fit our budget. I would definitely ask him to do more work.
