Absolutely terrible company. I bought the 5-Year Elite Complete Furniture Protection plan which comes with a long list of what is not included. Be prepared to wait 2+ hours on hold, and then at 2:00 pm they tell you to call back tomorrow and end the call so start early in the morning if you hope to get through. Which is a joke because youâ re problem will probably be one of the 40+ issues they donâ t cover and they will not elevate the call to a manager. I am so angry at Guardsman and at Berks Furniture for pushing this as a great plan.

I wish there were negative 100. Never buy any plan from this company. They never help you solve the issues. When you buy anything and add this companys plan, they promise a lot and charge you extra but after that they do not care. They just cheat. Do not waste your money. They simply say not eligible. Even though, it takes hours to talk to a customer agent. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

It took three months to not only get a technician in to clean my new dining room chairs but upon arrival, he was rude and in a rush. The stains did not come out and I have had to call and be put on hold for hours on end just to speak to a live representative. I would NEVER use this company again. I would give zero stars if I could.

They constantly try to get out of repairing my sectional for things that are clearly covered in my contract. DO NOT purchase one of their plans. You will be out $500 and I promise you they wont uphold the contract. I have reported them to the BBB and the FTC. I guarantee most of these reviews are fabricated, as I have seen many complaints about this company all over the internet. Do your research and think twice.

We purchased our dining room, living room, and the family room furniture sets from Furnitureland South with the Gold Protection plan. We had a fabric damage with our Jean Louis Denoit, Celestite, Baker Sofa and reported fabric damage claim with Guardsman, their insurance provider. They said the claim is not eligible for service and is not covered by the plan. It was a very disappointing experience. I wish, did not purchase the Guardsman Gold Protection plan that was supposed to cover any damage including the accidental damages. It is worthless.

Currently going on 7months waiting for the parts for our couch to arrive. Every month I call and get the same response. A part order has been placed there is nothing they can do until it arrives.

a Claim was made for Furniture cracking and peeling as per contract this is covered however when we filled a case we were not sure what caused it and have stated that as an honest answer, however such furniture will not starting peeling or cracking without an incident which is understandable to anyone. Guardsman instead of honoring their contract and dealing with this, decided that since client did not specifically what have caused the cracking and peeling then it is not approved claim. their response was that such peeling and cracking could be not because of incident or accident. my question then what? Stay away from this company - biggest crooks.

I filed a claim a YEAR ago. only to hear now that my claim did not go through because of an & cumulations of stains. let me explain, I had one singular stain, created by orange juice, I called the company only for them to tell me to use the products provided by the company to clean it. It only made it worse and made even a bigger stain. Next they send a tecnician to try and get the stain out. She takes one look at it and says the stain cannot be removed. (no attempt to remover the stain AND ACTUALLY SAID if i sent her a pic of the stain she would not have come) after that I never heard of them again, Ive called multiple times and was always put on hold or refered to another branch they even hung up on me because ive been waiting on the phone for so long that the call went to 5:30 pm when they close. and was told by an outomated message and try again on these hours finally after 3 hours waiting they answer and said they dont cover multiple stains a FURNITURE INSURANCE COMPANY DOESNT COVER STAINS only one stain. they even boldly suggested I hire a professional cleaner to fix the couch which by the way is around ($250) my advice save your money, its a professionaly corporated scam.

I purchased fabric guarantee. My new pup peed on the couch. They said any stain, so I sent a request for help 6/16. They sent a spray bottle of stuff that I applied they told me I had 30 days to say if it worked or they would not fulfill claim. They did not send anything to clean it with until after July 4th weekend. So I tried to clean it when I got it, but the odor came back after a week. 7/14 I sent the claim form to the company and my claim was denied 7/20 because they said it was over 30 days. You have 20 days to get the stuff to me, but I only have a week to test what you send and reply to you? Ridiculous... This is a scam full on! My couch still stinks, I am out the cost of the warranty, and still have to pay a professional to clean the odor from my couch... Stay far away from the Guardsman!

My honest review of Guardsman Protection Plan is to run, don't walk away from this company. It is a scam! I do not write bad reviews. But, I have had so many bad experiences with Guardsman that I have wanted to write a bad review at least 100 times and so I finally am. Honestly, I have made three totally legitimate claims that fell in the parameters of their protection plan that they denied. The first claim was water damage on my dining room table. Because I could not say exactly how the damage spot was done they would not cover it. It's accidental water damage! Was it a rag, was it a paper plate that had moisture, was it a cup? Who knows but the water damage is there. But, oh no, they can't cover it because I didn't know exactly how it was done. The second claim I made a year later, I knew what had happened. Yay, they'll cover it. Nope. I got my claim right in, I knew what had happened, but they said they never received it. What? They make you file a claim through snail mail and conveniently if they don't receive it within 30 days they will deny your claim. So weird! Why not let us email you to make the claim? I found out why. So they can say they never received it in the mail. And since the policy is to not accept your claim if you don't get it through snail mail within 30 days then all of a sudden they don't have to honor your claim again. I filed it again. Rejected. I asked them to reconsider. Rejected. Under the policy of their protection plan they should have covered it, but they wouldn't simply because, â it got lost in the mail. The third claim I made was totally a different kind of damage. My daughter was taking off some acrylic nails with acetone. She had some stuff down to protect the table but the acetone on some cotton balls had seeped through to the table. She didn't know until she cleaned everything up and wherever the acetone touched the table there were white spots where the finish was totally gone. Made another claim, did everything just the way they asked, but they denied it again. First they said they were denying it because I was filing the same claim and just changed the date of the damage. Really? Do they even read or do they just stamp DENY before they even look at the claim. I then actually read to them what I wrote on the claim about what happened, right there and then they said, â Oh then itâ s still denied because itâ s accumulative damage, once you make a claim we've denied we don't have to accept another claim even if it's totally different damage in a whole different spot until you can provide proof to us that you sanded the table down, and completely refinished it and provide proof that it is essentially a new table before we have to cover any other damage on it. Are you kidding? What the heck? Like I said, this is not a warranty company who wants to help you cover the accidental damage done to your furniture, this is a scam company who just wants your money.

These insurance policies are scams. My claim was rejected because they said it was a snag and not a rip.

I purchased a living room set (couch, recliner, entertainment center) in 2017 from Ethan Allen Jacksonville office. I had some damage occur in December 2020 and January 2021. I submitted a claim in February and was denied because it was out of the reporting window. I have filed a complaint with the BBB for guardsman furniture protection Ethan Allen sold me. Not only do they not respond to the complaint but they do not answer the phone, return messages, and stay on hold for hours. Refusing coverage during the pandemic to an essential healthcare worker because it is out of the time frame is despicable. I did not have time due to working at Cedars Sinai, a 1000 bed trauma center in downtown Los Angeles, during the peak and also did not feel comfortable having someone in my home until vaccinated which resulted in delay of reporting. My protection plan

Do not buy a Guardsman warranty at all costs, they make no effort to abide by their promises in their warranties. We have several claims that have been denied for bogus reasons, with no contact by the company. An automated email is all you get with no real context. We had a third-party cleaner come to the house and told us that they must submit a quote to Guardsman on the cost to clean. If it is too expensive for their plan, they will deny, regardless of the real context or coverage. Crooked company. Avoid!

I bought a very expensive couch and chair at a known furniture store. Both are covered in a woven basketweave fabric. We bought the Guardsman plan that clearly states it covers *SEAM SEPARATION.* Here we are two years later and the chair cover is separating at the seams, just as we worried about with this fabric. We submitted a claim, and Guardsman sent a technician out. That person says *oh yeah, we will get you a new cover ordered,* and we think all is well. Then about a week later, I get an email from Guardsman saying our claim is not covered and denied. I have called and called and can not get an answer. *Due to Covid 19, we have long wait times...* I have emailed with no response. Now I am filing a BBB complaint and posting this review everywhere I can to warn people to save their money. I never buy warranties, because they are worthless. Guardsman is nothing but deception, and I am sure there is not much I can do, but I will try!

On 7/13/20, I contacted Guardsman to schedule an inspection of my couch and provide an estimate for seat cushion replacement. The cost for the inspection was approx. $66 of which I provided my card number to cover that amount. Once I received the estimate ($445) to replace the seat cushions, I agreed to schedule another appointment on 9/24 for the service and was informed that once service is rendered, I'd receive an invoice. About a week after the service, I was shocked to learn, from my bank, that I was charged $37 overdraft fee because Guardsman charged the same card again without sending me an invoice or contacting me first. I never authorized them to keep my card number or to charge it again. I only authorized the inspection cost on that card. Also, when the technician was done, I asked him how to pay and he said they would contact me for payment so I was expecting an email or a call which never happened. On 10/11, I sent them an email about this issue with no reply. On 10/13, I called their office and was on hold for 30 mins so I decided to leave a message and send another email. On 10/15, someone emailed me back and said I authorized the charge on that card which is false- I only agreed to the schedule the service. I replied and asked for a manager and their corporate office contact info but did not receive a reply back as of 10/20. I want to be reimbursed for the $37 overdraft fee because they should have sent me an invoice or contacted me to confirm form of payment before charging my card. That is standard practice for all other companies I've done business with and provides protection to the consumers.

DO NOT USE THEM PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS this is a worthless Company and people working there could care less about you. 4 Months and no repairs, no refund, and no parts. Run from this Company, it is owned by The Amynta Group who owns several Furniture Protection Services if you see their name on any Company run as well. I will look into a class action Law Suit because they swindle people off, from my experience and all the comments I have read.
