Less than one year after the work was done, a screen separated from the frame. For a service call to be scheduled, I was to put a nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 down. After several texts, they just stopped answering my requests. Now I am looking for help to repair my lanai which is not even one year old. Total lack of customer service on behalf of the Gulf Coast.

My husband and I moved to the Cape last December and bought a home requiring numerous projects. One of our first orders of business was to get our lanai cage rescreened and painted. We used Gulf Coast Aluminum who was recommended by another contractor. They did what appears to be a good job on the rescreen and painting, but they damaged our pool deck with chemicals and had significant overspray resulting in paint on our neighbor cars and solar cells on their roofs. We were out of town at the time, but our neighbors reached out. Gulf Coast Aluminum worked with our neighbors to have their cars detailed and solar cells cleaned. We asked about our solar cells, but we were reassured that the wind was blowing away from our property and there was no overspray on them. Gulf Coast Aluminum did not agree to repair our pool deck as paint and style could not be matched but paid us an agreed-upon amount to potentially cover a repair. Fast forward a few months, and our solar company came by for routine maintenance on our solar panels. They reported to us that our panels were badly covered in paint from the overspray. My husband has repeatedly called them. At first, they said they wanted pictures of the damage. My husband explained we are in our 60 and getting on the roof would be dangerous but that the solar company would vouch for the damage. After that, they repeatedly sent the calls of my husband to voicemail, and no one returns our calls. We eventually, against our better judgment, climbed up on the roof and took pictures, which we sent them. They continued to ignore our calls. When we occasionally got a human on the phone, they transferred us to the voicemail of the owner, and no one gets back. This has been going on for months!!! If anyone has any suggestions on how we can proceed it would be greatly appreciated. We are planning on filing a complaint with the BBB. We have markedly reduced solar production as a result, and we are frustrated and seeking resolution with this company. Thanks for your time.

Every staff member I dealt with regarding the replacement of my lanai screens was courteous, professional and very accommodating. I live in Punta Gorda and realized I had another screen which needed replaced that I had failed to include in my original job order. My Service Rep, Sam, was already in Cape Coral (almost an hour away) on another job when I caught my mistake. Although Sam did not have any other jobs to complete in Punta Gorda that day, he managed to fit me in his busy schedule and returned to replace the screen. Exceptional customer service and screen replacement was perfect! Will definately use this company for any future work I need completed.
