Used him 5 years ago and he was great.DO NOT hire him as he took money up front and didn?t do the work. He scammed us 1500 dollars up front and has blocked us from contacting him.He brought another guy from another company at 7 at night and worked for a hour.Left his loaded trailer in our yard for 2 weeks We heard enough lies and excuses from derrick that made me sick .I am 66 and disabled and that doesn?t matter to a criminal. If you use him you will be sorry as he took our money and ran.True criminal

never pay in full before job is down, know matter what sob story he gives you.HE WONT COME BACK AND FINISH JOB!!!!!

February 2022 Came and trimmed some trees. Paid in full. Never came back to finish the job. Kept promising he would come. Never did. My husband and son had to finish the job but never got the stumps ground which was included in the price. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called Derrick on July 8th for a estimate to have three trees to be taken down. He came on the 8th around 4pm. He told me that he has to finish another job but he will be back He said If I paid in cash he would give me a good deal so I agreed to pay in cash He told me he would do $400 dollars worth of work that day since he was asking for 400 of the total. . He came around 8pm and said he was sorry but he promises all the work would be done the next day. He came the next day with his chipper and asked if he can park it in my yard and said he is unable to do work today but promised he will i get it all done the next day. .On the 9th, I didn't see or hear from him until 9pm. He told me that he and his wife was in a car wreck so of coarse, I overlooked him not doing what he promised. On the 11th he came and did do little work. Then he asked if he could leave his trailer in my yard in promise he would finish the job. Some days I don't hear from him and some days he does little work. He cut the small tree all way the down and the two bigger tress, he cut all the branches off leaving the main trunk. On the 15th, his assistant came over to cut the trunk and clean up all the branches. But Derrick didn't leave any gas for him so he couldn't cut the main trunk .I asked him If Derrick is coming here and he said he hopes so because today is payday for him. Derrick never came. He did clean up but now I have piles of branches all over my yard and into the neighbor's yard up to right beside of their house. I called him today and told him that I want my yard cleaned up today. He once again said he would after he does the small job he had in my neighborhood. He came around 4pm to pick up his trailer to go to that another job and I haven't seen or heard from him yet. We had a written contract that he would do the job on the 8th and 9th. Oh the 10th he promised he would finish the job and I had to leave the house so I had him write on the contract that I paid him the rest of the money with his promise to finish the job. But guess what? He got my money and I still have tree parts all over my back and side yard with his chipper on the side of the house. I cant remember what day it was but I have told him with all the times he promised to finish the job and all the times he never called or showed up that his costumer service sucks and he has to do better. But that didn't matter to him because I am his client, not his friend. He can't promise to to the work and have it not done 9 days later or leave his chipper and trailer at a clients house. I can see to leave them here for one night to finish the job but his chipper has been here a week and his trailer comes and goes. I can't tell you how many times he promised me to finish the job. He went as far as saying, I know you probably will never hire him ever again. Well he is so right about that and I will not refer him to anyone I know.

Derrick was friendly and knowledgeable. Had him remove some infested palms in the front of my home and trim some large, overhung oak branches from the back. He cleaned up everything along my back fence line as well. Prices canâ t be beat and he was very informative. Had a couple hiccups with communication over the phone, which is understandable for a busy company. I would highly recommend his services. Thanks for your hard work.

Derrick and his team were super! Great, competitive quote to take down 3 very large trees. Derrick took his time explaining how they would handle the project. On time and very efficient, pleasant, cleaned the area up. Made sure the stumps were drilled. Overall a first class experience--they are pros and I would recommend them to anyone! Great job.

Very professional had a few time changes, they called me kept me in the loop. Went over entire job with my wife and I. Owner was on the job with his crew the entire time. Cleaned up was excellent never know they were on my property.

Gulf Coast Tree Service went above and beyond with the project. Their prices were more than competitive. The owner was very knowledgeable and guided me through the process start to finish with recommendations on making changes to have the best outcome. They even cut extra branches that were not part of the initial quote to benefit the home and powerlines.

Owner responded within 2 hours of my inquire and was at my home 2 days later with not only a reasonable estimate but he EXPLAINED reasons the tree needed to be removed, what it would entail, etc. tree was removed within a week. He is on site doing the climbing and cutting while his guys on the ground cleaned up constantly. They had a tough job as this tree was right over our pool. Not even a twig was left behind. Amazing work!

Derrick and his crew did a fantastic job trimming my large oak tree. Cleaned up all of the debris. In and out in 1 hour. Prompt service too, no waiting for weeks like others. We got our estimate on Tuesday and job completed on Friday morning. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

Professional, courteous, and thorough. The service was above my expectations. They followed the Home Owner's Association's guidelines, knew about the proper trimming of the trees to the benefit of the trees, and did an excellent clean up. Highly recommended.

They did an excellent job on my palm trees and I will hire them again. Their price was much better than another quote that I received.
