Gary Teeter of Gulfside Appliance Repair failed to properly diagnose the problem with our icemaking system. During his first visit, after listening to our description of the problem and seeing the block of ice in the ice storage bin, he said we needed a new icemaker. After attempting to install 3 replacement icemakers that were incorrectly ordered by him or his Admin person, he finally installed the 4th (correct) one, only to find out that the leak was from the solenoid valve that feeds water to the icemaker; there was never anything wrong with the icemaker itself. That solenoid valve wasn't stopping the flow of water into the ice cube trays, so the excess water flowed into the ice cube storage bin, and formed one big block of ice He blamed LG for sending him the wrong replacement icemakers 3 times. He must not have had the presence of mind to check whether they were the right replacement parts before he came to our condo, wasting 3 trips. He had taken photos with his cellphone of the nameplate for the refrigerator, so he had the necessary info to order the proper replacement part. After this comedy of errors, I find it hard to believe he really is an "authorized LG repair service", if they knew how bad he is at diagnosing problems and ordering correct parts. Over the course of the many visits he made with the wrong icemakers, I had paid him $308, only because I didn't want to start over with a new repairman. After he finally installed the replacement solenoid valve, I requested that he refund $125. Home Advisor itself estimates that this replacement part and installation should cost an average of $170 in our area, so I felt I was doing him a favor by requesting a $125 refund, rather than the full amount of the $138 overcharge . Home Advisor's Contractor Solutions Dept. also contacted him to encourage him to refund the overcharge, with no success. Needless to say, we will never use Gulfside again. The only reason he's getting scores of 0.5 is because I couldn't give zeros! Draw your own conclusions from the above description, but remember "Buyer Beware".

We were very pleased. Gary fixed our fridge. He was very knowledgeable and very honest. We asked for extra cards so we could recommend him to all our friends.

We were contacted immediately by a very friendly staff nmed Heather who quickly scheduled our appointment. Our friendly technician Gary Teeter arrived promptly on time and went to work right away. To make sure our wooden floor was not damaged, he covered the floor with a large mat. He then cheerfully went about his business and promptly solved the problem. He later took the time to make sure there were no leaks and tested the appliance. Gary is a great guy and a great worker. We strongly recommend him. We will contact them again if we need any other repairs.

Not a professional company, at all, grossly overcharges for parts and guesses whats wrong. I paid 198.82 for a new control which lists on the internet for 105.74 with a 1 year warranty, Mr. Teeter only warranties 90 days on parts. He replaced the control which did not fix problem, when questioning why replacing control unit without testing, he told me he didn't have tools to test. the problems were with the tempature sensors, which he repaired after 2 weeks since he does not have a part inventory. I was very dissatisfied with this Company and will never recommend them to anyone. I will never use Him in the future.

Gary replaced my icemaker in my Samsung fridge. Professional and courteous. He came in and assessed the broken icemaker, and ordered it then. The only thing was I had to call after a week and a half to see where my icemaker was in terms of delivery. I would have liked a heads up on estimated delivery time and a phone call after a week to let me know the status of the delivery.

Great guy, friendly fast professional service

My 3 yr old Samsung front loader washer stopped working. Call Home Advisors this company called within 3 minutes came over in about an hour. Explained how costly it would be to fix.. very honest, so he said it would be better to buy new. that is what we did, not another Samsung though. lol. Great honest service, prompt can handle all appliances.

Great service. Called immediately and came within 20 minutes. The ice maker wasn't making ice. Knew the problem and fixed it within 15 minutes Told us how to avoid it in the future. Would hire him again.

Gary responded immediately. He offered to come the next day to diagnose the problem with our wine refrigerator.. He arrived earlier than expected and called before he came. He was able to repair it in a timely manner at a reasonable price. We will definitely call him again if the need arises.

Gary was very professional. Although we couldn't repair problem he let me know right from the start what we will going to have to do. He did all he could to solve the problem, but it was too large or too expensive and he was quite upfront with the fact that it wasn't worth putting that kind of money answer. I was quite satisfied with his work and his disposition

Gary is wonderful. He wasn't able to fix the washer but we discussed the age of the machine, what it would cost to replace the drum, etc. and he steered me in the right direction. Extremely reasonably priced and EXTREMELY accommodating regarding schedule of service which is important because I work all week. I would totally trust his work and recommendations and HIGHLY recommend him.
