the job wasn't done as quoted, and the person who was supposed to come and check it out never showed-up.

Workers did not comply with promised goals. Once gutter dome was installed they felt they were done. I went up on the roof and found damaged cement tiles! I asked them to repair them and they said they were already broken. I had to repair the broken tiles myself. Also, they didn't clean up. My front porch and upstairs deck and downstairs deck areas were covered with all the debris they had tossed out of the gutters! So, I spent an hour on the roof finishing their work and an hour cleaning up the mess they made. Gutter Dome failed to honor "all" the items listed in their contract. You would think with the amount of money they were paid that they could have finished the job they promised to do?

After debating whether to have Byers Leaf Guard installed on our log home or not, my husband and I decided to have Gutter Dome install their product on our existing gutters. Our first contact with the company was at the Placerville County Fair, when, as we were leaving, were shown the product. We both liked it and appreciated that we didn't need to replace our existing gutters. We discussed the differences, with the salesman, between the Byers system and Gutter Dome and we particularly liked the fact the ends of the gutters would be sealed, thereby not letting little critters inside to build nests. The product seemed to be of high qualify and we also liked the transferable Lifetime Limited Warranty. The salesman asked if one of their reps could contact us and we agreed. Brian came the next day. Brian was a young, bright and bushy-tailed guy. He was respectful, quite knowledgeable about the product, even though he had only worked for the company a few months, and answered our questions to our satisfaction. We were told 2 men would come to install, and he reiterated the ends of the gutters would be sealed. My husband and I were both taken with Brian. When it came to what the materials/labor would amount to, we were given this ridiculously absurd price, but after the various discounts, the price wasn't too bad. As my husband and I like to "sleep on it", we knew we weren't going to sign anything right then and there. Brian put together a "contract" together anyway, in case we were at all serious about going forward. An hour later, the local manager, Bill, called us to see if he could "close" the deal. Long story short, we did consummate the deal after my husband and I were assured we would get all we had been promised. The appointment was made for the next day, since Gutter Dome had a morning job in Somerset: we'd be their afternoon job. Everything was fine up to here. The next day, at the appointed hour, a black, dirty, beat-up, non-descript small truck comes down our driveway. There was one man in the truck, and in the 100+ degree heat, he looked like he was on his last legs. This did not instill confidence in me! After assessing the job, checking out the 2nd story roof gutters, he did not seem very happy. He started muttering under his breath in his native Farsi tongue. When I asked him where the other man was, he told me he worked alone! I could hardly believe it! This was going to be a big job in extremely hot temperatures! During the six hours he was there, he continued to appear very unhappy and continuously muttering. We had a couple of issues with him such as him telling us he didn't close the gutter ends, and he often times argued with my contractor-husband over some of the "promises" that had been made to us by Brian/Bill. I had so little confidence in him, that I'd send my husband out every half-hour to check on the work being done. Shortly after his arrival, I called Bill and left 2 messages, neither of which were returned. When I called a third time and got his v/m, I decided to call Brian. I relayed my feelings about the situation and how uncomfortable I was with this man who had been sent to our house. He listened and said he'd have Bill call me back, and promised one of them would call me back by day's end. I never heard back from either one! The job was done on 06/20. To this day, no one has bothered to call me! In conclusion, we're trusting the product will work as intended, but won't know until the next time it rains. I am, however, still dismayed at the lack of communication from either the rep or the sales manager, and at the man that was sent out to represent the company. I, too, am a business owner, and I'd soon be left with no clients if I treated my customers that way. It seems that once they had our money, there was no more incentive to communicate with us.
