If I prevent one prospective customer from using Gutter Giants LLC then I made my point and saved someone much headaches. Gutter Giants, one of the worst contractors I ever dealt with. The list goes on. Failed to show up as scheduled more than once, false promises made on work performed, shoddy, unprofessional work so bad I spent months trying to work with them to get the job done right as promised to return. But by now I lost all trust in Dan Addkisson the owner, that I feared having him return only to cause further damage to a non functioning gutter he replaced or to my roof. Now I need to find a reputable contractor to rip out Gutter Giants work and spend more time and money. Dan made a promise to do the job right a second time ? Thanks but no thanks. V/r, Chief Bill M. P.S. Gutter Giants did not even have the courtesy to introduce themselves or a knock on the door as they showed up on an unplanned day. I was startled to hear people on the side on my house.
Response by Gutter Giants, LLC: Where do I start with this one? We are going to start with the end result. We gave him his money back so for him to say he has to spend more money to get the problem fixed tells you everything you need to know about this homeowner. He over exaggerates the problem, gives misleading information, leaves out important information and is unreasonable. He mentioned that he wanted me to make it right, well, I gave him his money back that should have made things right. I get 5-star reviews for a good reason. It's because I return calls, I don't run and hide from complaints and I honor all warranties. I will continue to do my best with each and every person to provide the best customer service in the business. This was one miscommunication after another from both of us from the first time I was informed he was unhappy with work we did on his home. My inability to communicate and explain the problem properly via text messaging made talking with him un-bearable. I made several attempts to call him but he never returned my calls. He only response through text messaging. Not my chose of communicating. It took longer than it needed to as a 20-minute conversation took weeks via text messaging. We couldn't agree on how to resolve the issue he was having. In the end I resolved it by returning him a 100% of his money what more does he want or expect. He cashed the check three weeks before writing this review but failed to mention that in his review. When the homeowner first contacted HomeAdvisor the work description that "he" filled out on 2/18/18 stated the following; "Gutter falling down, Repair existing gutter". I made contract with homeowner and arranged to go out and take a look at the problem. I gave him a price to repair existing gutters, and replace rotted fascia wood that was damaged. (not the entire length of the gutter) for him to think he was getting all new fascia wood & fascia capping is ridiculous as the estimate was clearly written to re-use old material. The price for the work with tax was $261.23. Only change I made to this was we had to replace the gutter as damaged the gutter beyond repair. I told him I would do this at no extra charge. All was fine, until I received a text message 2 months later. Not knowing anything was wrong or there was even a problem, homeowner started out the conversation with the following, "You perform work at (their address) I see you did not replace the entire pine wood the length of the gutter and the aluminum fascia poorly put back. Not a professional job. Nothing positive here". This is how he choose to start the conversation. Only thing wrong that we were responsible for is to fix an over lapping seam in the fascia capping and add drip flashing. We couldn't agree on what needed to be done, he wanted all new wood the entire length and new capping and I just wanted to fix what he paid for. Towards the end we started sounding like two school children on the playground arguing over chapstick. So we gave him his money back. There is a lot more to this story but this is the brief synopsis.
