Swimming Pool Cleaning and Maintenance Service
We moved into our home with a pool a year ago and have interacted with 4 different pool service companies with limited success. Daniel at H20 So Clean far exceeded our expectations and impressed us with his knowledge and customer service. Where others talk about delays in supplies, he has equipment on his truck. Where others schedule weeks out, he was super responsive and was even available earlier than scheduled. Daniel also charged less than quotes from 2 other companies - significantly less. Daniel took care of our immediate need by installing an upgraded automation system, then took the time to walk us through each step. Then he also answered all of our overall questions about equipment and operations. He offered a lot of great advice on saving money by maximizing efficiency through setting up pool schedules, cleaning schedules to run the pump efficiently; which saves wear and tear on equipment and saves on electricity bills. He is very attentive to detail, speaks in terms we can easily understand (being new to pools), took the time to explain how our system works and what to watch out for in terms of maintenance and ways to prevent damage. He takes his job seriously as a professional, this is definitely a passion for him. He is also easygoing, has a great personality and shows dedication to his profession. He wants the right thing for his customers and goes above and beyond to take care of them.

I was having issues with my pool and I was searching for quotes for replacing the entire filter element cluster assembly. I received many quotes from the numerous pool pros online, but Daniel was the only one who provided a free, no-obligation consultation. He stated that usually not all the parts require replacing on the assembly and that he could take a look for free and make sure I only spend money on what needed replacing. Since I do my own basic pool maintenance, I could tell he was very knowledgeable and all the advice he provided was genuine which showed how much he enjoyed helping his customers. Throughout the process I never felt like he was trying to upsell me on anything and would only focus on anything that was truly broken to provide prices. Swimming Pool Heaters Installation and Replacement
Daniel did multiple pool equipment repair/replacement jobs (including a brank new pool heater) for me in Feb/March 2021 for over $5000 and I was extremely pleased with his work and his friendly *customer first* attitude at that time. Fast forward to Jan 22. I noticed a leaky inlet/outlet pipe joint for the brand new heater. I was surprised that he wanted to charge $150 service fee to take a look and to tighten the joint. He refused to take my phone call and quickly texted multiple reasons (such as temperature fluctuations, vibrations etc which are all good possibilities) why it is not his problem. I have had my previous heater work for over 20 years w/o any inlet/outlet leak. My Jandy valves have worked for years before leaking and I simply didnt expect the heater installation from a 5 star installer to fail so quickly let alone paying for the repairs within a year. Moreover, Daniel was eager to end the customer relationship right away. Clearly, $150 was more important to him than to lose a lifetime customer that was willing to pay (and did pay not too long ago!) justifiable charges exceeding thousands of dollars. That doesnt deserve a 5 star rating in my books. Highly disappointed!

"1. I missed his call (7:32am) as I was with my family. I texted back one minute later. 2. My labor warranty is 60 days. The heater was installed on 3/26/21, 294 days prior. I said when I was in the area I'd ake care of it for him. He demanded I come by immediately to take care of it at no charge. I also explained how he could resolve it so that he would not have to wait. 3. Minor leaks happen due to vibration and temperature fluctuations (expanding/contracting) all the time. When someone has a weekly pool service, they fix these issues when there without ever mentioning it to the client as it is not a service call = 1.5-2 hours of time. Prior to when I installed the heater, he had a weekly pool service. He asked for a referral to a new one, but apparently decided he to take care of it himself. 4. Vijay was condescending, rude and used inappropriate language. I asked him to stop and when he continued, I blocked his calls, texts and emails. He posted a negative review on Angie/HomeAdvisor as retaliation. They took it down and he immediately posted another. I'd have them take this one down, but he'll just continue posting new ones and Angi/HomeAdvisor clearly doesn't have the business ethics to stop this abusive behavior. His original review: "I originally hired Daniel to install the new water heater and I was so impressed with his thorough knowledge, honest assessment and up-front competitive pricing that I got him to fix several other items such as fixing Pentair easy touch upgrade, addition of the Pentair screenlogic interface, replacing pool and spa lights and the water temp sensor, installing an automated timer on the pool refill valve and other miscellaneous items. There is a good reason why Daniel gets 5 star ratings. He is prompt (I called him on Thursday at 4 PM and he was in my backyard to install the heater at 7:30 am next day!), has in depth knowledge of every pool equipment in the market place as well as how the water chemistry can impact the life of the pool system and the overall pool experience, during the 3 days he did various tasks on my pool, I was fully informed about when he will show up, what needed to be done, how long it will take, what possible options exist and how much each option will cost, what I could defer and what couldn't wait (and why) and so on... Daniel is a perfectionist with a highly methodical approach at solving complex pool system issues. My Pool automation system was in a terrible shape. Daniel did an outstanding job fixing it all with a cost optimal solution without pushing me to purchase unnecessary parts. He went above and beyond by labeling all of the piping and valves in my pool system, neatly organizing all of the hanging wires and thoroughly testing and retesting every functionality / feature on my pool. His detailed itemized bill / invoice is another example of his attention to the detail. Nothing is left ambiguous! Rare to find such professionalism! Finally, what I also loved about Daniel is the empathy he exhibited. I told him that I had promised my daughter that she could use spa on Friday evening (the day heater was getting installed.) While the heater got installed quickly, we ran into several issues with the control system and Daniel had to leave for other jobs to finish that day. Daniel finished other jobs and came back in the evening just to fix things enough to get the spa going which myself and my daughter really appreciated. He returned on Monday to fix rest of the things. I had heater installation quotes from multiple other vendors and can vouch for the fact that Daniel's price was the best! Add to that the fact that Daniel does such a thorough and high quality work, there is no reason to look anywhere else if you are looking for any pool equipment repair, installation or upgrade. Thank you Daniel for doing an absolutely wonderful job in getting my pool back in shape!""

I contacted H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services in October as my pool heater did not seem to be working. Daniel came out and was kind enough to show me that there was no issue with my heater. He also showed me how to use it. I greatly appreciated Daniel's honesty, as if he had told me it needed parts or to be replaced, I would not have known any Several months later when I decided to upgrade my old heater, pump, and filter I contacted H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services again. Daniel responded quickly with a quote for these items that was very competitive. He provided a detailed summary of my options and answered all of my questions promptly. I requested that Daniel come out to inspect everything and discuss any additional charges that might be necessary. Daniel came out and looked over everything and identified a couple additional items that might need to be addressed. I ultimately selected H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services to do the work as their pricing and service was excellent. I wound up needing one more minor item replaced, and avoided a more major one as Daniel was able to make everything work without it. He even took care of a few smaller items for me - remounting my time clock, re-securing my electrical connections, and replacing some electrical connectors that had broken - as a courtesy. When he was all done he vacuumed up after himself, labeled everything with stickers, explained how the system operated to me, and made some videos for me for reference. I was very pleased with the work and will use Daniel and H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services when I am able to upgrade to full automation for the pool and spa and any future needs.

I hired Daniel for two jobs: replacing the pool heater and then repairing the mastic and spa light that was not working. Daniel is professional, reliable and responsive. He answered all of my questions and explained in detail the work he was doing. He is a wealth of information for all things pool system related and found his recommendations and insights very helpful. I contacted H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services originally for a drain and acid wash on my pool, converting my pool to salt, and replacing the new filter and gas heater from 1987 with an electric heater at my new home in Paradise Hills / Bonita thinking that was all I needed. I had reached out to several other companies with no success, one being overwhelmed and confused. Other companies made it seem like my job was too small for them stating they only do à  à ¢à  à  à  à  the big jobs.à  à ¢à  à  à  à  So I was looking for someone who knew what they were doing and wasn't going to treat me like my job was too small. I am happy to say I found that in Daniel and H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services. Daniel went into great detail about all the above items taking the time to explain the pricing and costs vs. benefits. He came by while the house was still in escrow to look over everything and explain what could be salvaged and what needed to be replaced. He sent a thorough summary from his visit along with quotes for each item and options recommended. He further simplified everything by breaking down what were "needs" and what were "wants" and educated me in the process. Absolutely incredible! Daniel advised me that the filter and pump could be salvaged, but that the heater needed to be replaced. He explained why the pool should not be acid washed as it was painted and the paint was already starting to peel off. He identified some safety hazards in that the pool drain cover was missing and the spa one was broken. He connected me with a referral and they worked together to resolve the issue as inexpensively as possible with Daniel installing the spa one - in my freezing cold spa. Daniel's crew even dove down the bottom of the pool to try and install the pool drain cover to save me some money, but unfortunately a pneumatic drill was needed to get the new one in so his referral ended up taking care of that for me! I am so relieved that is also being taken care of now by his first referral. I wound up going with Daniel's recommendation for: -New gas heater -Full automation of the system instead of the existing time clock -Phone, tablet, Alexa, Apple watch App -New light to replace a broken one and addition of a color LED bulb -Pool Cleaner -Vac-mate so that my skimmer could be split for the cleaner to work cleaning the bottom of the pool and the skimmer to work cleaning the surface of the water -Timer to turn the fill into semi-automatic instead of fully manual -Some miscellaneous parts that were broken Per his recommendation I held off on: -Filter - he cleaned it out and revived it with a few inexpensive parts -Pool pump - mine was working and I have solar panels, so upgrading to a more efficient variable speed pump wasn't as much of a concern Unfortunately there was a leak in the plumbing from the spa to the equipment. We had hoped it was just a blockage and Daniel tried valiantly to clear it first. Ultimately, Daniel's crew was able to diagnose the leak and took a video so I could present it to my home warranty to get it fixed. I am so happy his referral for this will repair this next week. Unfortunately Daniel does not perform weekly service in my area, but he was able to hook me up with a great referral for that too. It was a pleasure working with Daniel to bring my pool back to life! He always responded quickly and was very appreciative of the opportunity for the work as well as being very mindful of my project budget.

I appreciate the amount of time he spent inspecting our pool and checking everything with much detail. His knowledge of pool and pool systems was very helpful. Working with Daniel and his crew has been awesome. I met Daniel at my house (all masked up, which I so appreciate), and we decided to hire him to switch out a light in our pool, but also to repair some cracks around the pool.  The knowledge he has about ALL things "pool related" is impressive. He really is a walking encyclopedia of information! The guys worked hard all day, cleaned up after themselves, and were respectful and friendly (and again, masked up). The thing that struck me was that one of his crew had the unfortunate task of having to get into our frigid pool (in early February!!) to be able to successfully remove the old light! I feel this was above and beyond, and would have cost us twice as much if he wouldn't have been willing to do that!  We are going to hire them for additional work, and I have no hesitation in recommending Daniel! He is so personable and incredibly knowledgeable! You can just tell he loves what he does, because it comes through in the work he provides! So hard to find these days! Thanks so much! We look forward to Round 2! Â

My pool's DE filter had an issue that needed immediate attention as sediment was being returned to the pool. It had been a bit of a problem for a few weeks and then started to spew really terribly. My husband usually does the heavy lifting on the maintenance of the pool, but he was out of town, so I needed a professional. After reading great reviews on Nextdoor, I reached out to Daniel at H2O So Clean Pool & Spa Services. Daniel promptly returned my call within an hour. As I was leaving in a couple of days, he kindly squeezed me into his schedule to get the work done before I left. He came out the next day to open the filter and assess the problem. The filter was dirty, so Daniel cleaned it. During the cleaning he discovered that three of the grids were broken as well as the manifold. We had a new manifold, which Daniel was good enough to install for us. Daniel brought a full set of grids with him, so he was able to replace the broken ones as well. The o-ring on the filter was also in need of replacement. Unfortunately our filter tank is a bit of a dinosaur, so he did not have a replacement on hand. Daniel made a special trip to get a new one, returning the next day to wrap everything up. After Daniel was done, he cleaned up the area he worked in and sent me photos of all of the work performed before and after. I also have a problematic gate that needs to be left a certain way to ensure my dog doesn't get out and Daniel was very good about following my direction about how to leave it. Daniel offered to return to perform his full consultation to check over all of my equipment and water quality at no cost when I returned from my trip, which I will be taking him up on. Daniel was friendly and professional and I am very satisfied with his efforts. He clearly takes pride in offering a high level of service. I contacted H2O So Clean Pool and Spa Services in regards to replacing my pool pump. Daniel came out promptly and informed me that I could save nearly a thousand dollars by simply repairing the pump instead of replacing it. He checked all of my equipment, and also was able to catch several other issues, several before they became more severe and expensive problems, and make the necessary repairs. In all, Daniel repaired leaks at all three pumps, replaced a split open pump basket in one of my pumps that could have caused major damage to the pump, replaced my salt cell, connected my control panel to the bond wire, cleaned my filter, replaced three broken filter grids, and replaced an o-ring inside of my filter. Daniel was nice enough to offer to test my salt cell prior to replacing it even though it was well past the typical expiration date at no cost to me. He also tested all of my equipment before and after the repairs, labeled all of my equipment with stickers, so I could see what everything was tested my water with a couple of hi-tech pieces of water testing equipment. Reprogrammed my schedule for maximum efficiency and cleanliness, replaced a bolt-on my pump that was no good, and made some modifications to my cleaner including installing a new part, so it would not get caught up on the palm nuts all as a courtesy at no charge. He easily spent well over an hour doing all of these things as a courtesy - top-notch service. Daniel also communicated very well, responding to my messages on Yelp and text quickly, and when I did not reach him initially on the phone calling me back very quickly and answering my questions quickly. I also appreciated that the pricing was fair, especially considering all of the other things he did as a courtesy. Daniel was a knowledgeable professional and I highly recommend him for any of your pool or spa repair or installation needs.

H20 So Clean completed multiple repairs and upgrades to our pool. Daniel also drained and refilled the water and balanced chemicals. Services were completed properly and on time, and our pool is better than ever. Daniel was professional and courteous, and spent significant time inspecting our pool and diagnosing itâ s issues.
