Not only did they complete the job beautifully?delivering exactly what I envisioned and collaborating seamlessly with me throughout the redesign process?but they did so with total professionalism and integrity every step of the way. My building was far from easy to navigate, yet they handled every curveball perfectly, never creating extra work for me and always making my life easier. It is extremely rare to find a team this gifted that is also made up of such wonderful people?people who are a pleasure to work with and speak to, all while offering very reasonable pricing. Howard is the absolute best in the business. He did a phenomenal job on my bathroom renovation. His work is clean, meticulous, and thorough - and he's also hilarious. Throughout the entire remodel, I felt that Howard was in control and had the experience and mastery of his craft to tackle any situation. His helpers are experts as well and very user friendly, returning my calls quickly. I was almost sad when the project was over because I missed Howard's sense of humor. When HFMbuilders initially assessed our space, they took measurements of the entire area, including both the standard and drop ceilings, for a comprehensive soundproofing project. We were quoted over $30,000 for the full space and paid a $20,000 deposit immediately. While the project required approximately 430 square feet of coverage, the team only completed 210 square feet. Despite this area being included in the original signed quote, they informed us that soundproofing the remaining section would cost an additional $15,000. They left the site without completing even 50% of the job, having only addressed the fraction of the space with the drop ceiling. When we questioned this, we were told the job was finished and that any further work would require more payment. This is an unacceptable way to conduct business. We feel misled and are incredibly upset with the unfinished work. We want to make others aware of our experience to ensure they do not face similar issues with this company

Just a few followups regarding your rating review. #1 project was deemed sound deadening not soundproofing #2. Hfm measured a total of 440 sq ft of ceiling. Due to the configuration of the material designated 480 sq ft had to be ordered and utilized. In closing Hfm is an accredited company who does ethical and well documented work. Cannot recommend these guys enough. They are the most responsive, prompt, hardworking team. They do a great job with no nonsense. They know their s**t cold. We hired them to do a full kitchen gut and renovation and then two years later, divide a bedroom, tear up and put in a new floor, and bathroom reno. Did both projects in the estimated timeframe and gave good advice along the way. Really truly can't recommend them enough, we pass their name to everyone we come across who's interested in doing a project

They helped guide me in making the right decisions for putting together a beautiful bathroom renovation in our apartment. I consulted with them on both functional decision (where to mount sockets and towel racks) as well as aesthetic (ex: the best direction to orient the tile). They did the job ahead of schedule and with minimal disruption. I highly recommend them.

Howard and his Craftsmen have done work for me for almost 20 years. They have redone all the electricals in my apartment and brought it up to code. His men are careful and considerate and there is a high degree of finish to all the work they have done for me - most recently a total kitchen redo. This involved everything from electrical work, correcting the floors laying tile , installing cabinets and all the lighting as well as the wallpaper I had selected, I I give HFM and Hoard and Derrick the principles I have worked with a high A+.

I live in a 102-year old apartment coop building with inadequate plumbing & electrical lines and wanted to make a relatively small bathroom more accessible. I visited three other bathrooms in my building and also got enthusiastic reviews about other projects from others. As the Coop president observed when we talked about my renovation, HFM gets the job done on time and they did. As renovations in old buildings go, I had hiccups and we got through them. It was also complicated because I worked through a designer friend and she had some health issues that made the ordering more difficult. We got through it. The most important thing for me was that I wouldn't worry about the quality of the job after the fact. As it turned out when Derrick and his crew removed 20-year old tiles, he found a leak and mold. The installation of the new modern toilet (not pictured), the vanity, and medicine cabinet required working in very tight spaces. All was done in an excellent manner.
