We had a horrible experience with this company. Once they got their down payment, we didn't hear from them for over 3 months despite numerous calls and texts. We hired them to replace a patio, sidewalk stairs, garage stoop, replace a drain grate, repair chimneys and install cement board on the foundation of our house. Their sub-contractors showed up on site without any of the tools needed to do the job. We had to provide chainsaws, wheel barrels, drills, power packs, etc. They left the work site a mess every day. I had to go out and clean up there trash every night when they left. After the concrete pour, we discovered that they poured all the excess concrete into our woods. When the Sub contractor showed up to do the install, we explained what we wanted which was in our contract. Dennis Omen called me and said that it was a change order and wanted to charge us another $750.00. When we discussed the contract, he acknowledged there was no change from what we originally contracted them to do. As a result, they dropped the level of the stairs over a foot below the grade. It looked horrible and created a trip hazard. We had to have the sidewalk/stairs replaced. The concrete varied in thickness from less them 1" to over a foot in places. The concrete was chipped and cracked. Hunks of concrete broke off within a week of them pouring it. The Sub-contractor acknowledged it was a bad pour and gave us a letter of indemnity. He offered to repair it. We paid for a new concrete not a job that instantly needed repair. We sent pictures of the concrete to Dennis Oman and expressed our dissatisfaction with the concrete job and he never acknowledged it or offered to fix it. They cut lines in our new patio for a grate and just left it. They told me to go ahead and find a grate myself. We had to hire another contractor to removed and replace the sidewalk/stairs and garage stoop. He is also fixing the patio and fabricating the grate. They started to install the cement board on the foundation of garage and installed the first three pieces crooked. Once again, they did not have the materials needed on site so they installed the first three pieces without the joint pieces. Then they told us they would have to wait to finish the install until the joint pieces could be ordered which delayed the project another month. We had to hire another contractor to remove the pieces they installed and re-do the job. We kept a log and printed copies of all our communications (or lack there of) with Hip and Ridge. After 5 months of dealing with them we had to hired an attorney. Ironically, the day we had an appointment with the attorney, the Constructions Manager Dave called to tell us they were finally coming to finish the job. When my husband told Dave we didn't them back on the worksite, Dave got very rude and hung up on my husband. While we were at the attorneys office, Dave called back, threatened to put a lean on our house, and hung

We would not hesitate to recommend Hip and Ridge to anyone looking to improve their home. The workers and staff were courteous and kept us informed during each phase of this project.

Horrible follow up from this company. I have been chasing this company for two months and still don't have my warranties! Would not recommend . Took 5 weeks to get a one day install, dumpster sat in my driveway for a month. Phone calls not returned, lots of excuses for not getting me my warranties... about to take this to court !!
