Harvey took a $12,400 down payment from me in July of 2020 for new door walls, siding, and gutters. He never did the work. All I have gotten are excuses. I have demanded a refund, but all I get is the runaround. I found this company on Angi, but will never trust the site again.

Wood or Fiber Cement Siding Installation or Complete Replacement
Harvey Franklin took my $7,500 deposit for James Hardie siding on April 17, 2020. I have never seen him again. The business phone is disconnected. Update: I won a judgment against Harvey Franklin in small claims court for $6500 (which is the limit in SC court) plus court costs. 08/23/2022.

Hired in February. Took my down payment but never showed up to do any work. It has been months and months of excuses and lies. I not only blame H and J but I blame home advisor also. I am out thousands and will be having to pay my lawyer to get back some. Do not trust this company or this website.

We hired him just before the pandemic which caused a major problem with getting the materials needed to get the job done. So be prepared to wait but when he show up he does a great job. When I called Harvey if he didn't answer he would call back. Long story short Harvey was able to get the materials needed to do the job. The workers came out every day did there job and kept the area clean while working. Were very happy with his work and our neighbors love it. Our home is the model home of the Cul de sac.

Harvey makes promises, but never keeps his word. He took an exorbitant down payment from me, and now nearly a year later, the job isnt done, not going to be done, and he still hasnt refunded my down payment. In short, don't believe a word he says because he wont follow through on his word, and at this point, hes taken my money and ran. 6 months since he agreed to repay my down-payment, and not a dime has been returned. Legal action is looking likely, which doesnt seem uncommon for H&J.
