HJF & Associates Landscape Contractors, Corp.

After several meetings to discuss what we were looking for, HJF has started this project just this week and this company is doing everything they said they would and more. I am very happy with this company and would deal with them again.

THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB. I CHOSE THEM BECAUSE THEY MOVED A HUTCH THAT I COULDN'T LIFT AND EVEN REMOVED THE CARPET FROM THE ROOM. THIS WAS ALL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE THAT THEY QUOTED. WILL CALL THEM AGAIN FOR OTHER WORK THAT WE NEED DONE. THEIR PRICE WAS VEY REASONABLE, ALSO. THE JOB I HIRED THM FOR WAS TO INSTALL PORCELAIN TILE IN A SMALL ROOM.

Very god job 62feet of drywall and insulation.

Larry was friendly, on time and did what he said he would.

I received the quote during the winter of 07 and the work began in the spring of 08, I paid half of the quote upfront. They laid the bricks but never returned to completed the job. I had to pay someone else to fill in sand and glaze the brick patio. The initial work was good but it would have been better if they had completed the project. I did not pay the final half of the payment but was prepared to if the work had been completed. Not a good bet!

Overall the service was good. They were prompt and executed as contracted. Reasonably priced and quality of work was very good. I would recommend

He wanted to pay some people who don't communicate well to pick up the little trash on my lot and then charge me $800 for this and then over charge me for the other work.

So far, so good. We're planning for a Spring 2008 installation, so they came by, heard our thoughts and then came up with an excellent plan. We're looking forward to working with them in the Spring.

Professional and showed up on time for appointment. Ended up going with a local landscaper because he was cheaper.

Larry was cordial, informative, and listened to my ideas and needs for the patio. He was down to earth and established trust. After looking at the patio and submitting an estimate, he answered in a timely and courteous manner. The crew came the day they said they would and finished the project in one day. It is exactly what I wanted and looks fantastic. I am very pleased!!

HJF offered a VERY competitive rate and a good warranty for the installation of our retaining wall. The project was completed last year and we have yet to run into any problems. The job did take quite a bit longer to complete than we were initially told and a few of the days no one showed up to work and we weren't advised ahead of time or given an explanation...a bit of an annoyance but other than that we were quite happy with the job and would consider them again for future work.

Horrible communication with customer AND within the company. When the workers arrived, they had absolutely no idea what they were supposed to do, even the owner of the company!! Because they didn't notify me of starting date as promised, they had to practically break into my backyard. They then proceeded to pour 122 sq/Ft of cement in the WRONG PLACE!! They severely damaged my lawn and flowers, inadvertently took a 50' extension cord and brick that I wanted to keep. THIS WAS THE WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE IN SELECTING A CONTRACTOR!!! STEER CLEAR OF THIS DISASTER!!!

Did a great job was very impressed, he knows what he is doing.

Three weeks late in starting the job. Did not know the first thing about installing stone steps. Called incompetent by other contractors brought into the job. Nothing was even close to the design drawn up. Left the job site filthy. Destroyed freshly painted pillars and made no effort to protect them. Over 50% was taken out for the deposit to my credit card without my consent. Ruined my existing stone which was to be incorporated into the job. Worst contractor I have ever dealt with in my life. Tried to take stone back without notification. Arrogant and lied throughout!

Quality of work was excellent, they are pretty customer oriented and try to please and are reasonaely priced. The only thing to watch for is proper comunications, meaning the details of the project you discuss with the owner versus what gets comunicated (or understood by the forman and crew that come out to perform the job). In other words, make sure that when the crew show up to start working that they had fully understood the scope of the project as was agreed up on, and if not, contact the owner to resolve any misunderstandings.

HFJ were very helpful with choosing the stone and giving advice on the repairs. They arrived on time, were couteous and completed the job on time. They cleaned up the area after the work . I would reccommend them for similiar work.

I was contacted promptly to set up an appointment. The solution proposed should keep this problem from re-occurring and the quote was reasonable. The work has been completed in a very professional and timely manner.

Larry went out of his way to make sure we were happy and that the job was completed to our satisfaction. Brick work was of the highest quality and they cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend.

HJF & Associates were prompt and reliable. We are thrilled with the finished patio!

Larry and his team were wonderful to work with. Larry made some great suggestions that worked out beautifully. We were so impressed with their work we hired them to landscape our top deck.
