We hired Hotmixx to install a play pad in our back yard ,so that our boys could play basket ball. We submitted our information on their website and they called us back immediately, They had an estimator in our area and they were able to see us the same day we called. We got 2 more estimates after Hotmixx came out, although their bid was not the lowest, we felt the most comfortable with their level of professionalism. The play pad looks great, the edges are neat and despite the fact that our yard is not level, the play pad is. We have already recommend them to our family and friends, and we plan to use them when it is time to re-do our driveway. Give them a call, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I hired this company to come out and pave my gravel driveway which is about 3300 Sq Ft, so it is a fairly decent driveway, not a short one. They arrived within the described time I wanted them to show up so my wife could run out and run back before they showed up which worked out. They started by leveling out the gravel and getting it ready and all looked good. They laid out a string and marked a line in a couple different spots. At this point I am thinking, great professional company. As they started to lay the asphalt they were laying it thick as we agreed on a 2.5 inch layer before being compacted, great. The issues starting to rise when they were tamping the edge at a 45 degree angle, this is where the job fell apart in my eyes. The actual paving of the drive way looks smooth and consistent, the edges on the other hand is a completely different story. There is no consistency to how they put down the 45 degree angle. You would think that the orange line that they sprayed on the gravel would be a good marker to use to keep the asphalt in line but instead they laid the asphalt along the edge of where they leveled the gravel which was all over the place and into the grass. If you look down the edge of either side of my driveway it looks like a wavy line, not just lightly but bad, it does not looks smooth at all. I took a picture and sent it to the owner, Wayne, about having an issue with fit and finish. I never got a response but I did have Kevin and a couple crew members show back up at my door all up in arms about the job and full of attitude. I discussed with Kevin about the issues with the edge of the driveway and how inconsistent it looked and all he could tell me was, and these are his words, œlooks like the edge of a driveway to me. They went back to the truck and grabbed a torch and a rake, one of the guys asked for the tamper and Kevin said he did no™t have it, why would you show up at my door without the right equipment? I will be posting this same review on yelp so head over there and look up this company, look for my review and you will see the pictures that I have taken and you tell me what you think. I wi™ll give it to one of the crew members though; Kenny, passionate about his job it seems as he tried to fix the other guys mistakes as he understood that his mark was getting left on this driveway. I asked him why it turned out this way and he told me that he is only one person and that his crew is pretty lazy. Kenny also walked down the edge of the driveway shaking his head as he told me that they are supposed to clean up the edges to make it look nice and they did not. My wife is all upset and I am pretty disappointed in the fit and finish of this job. You would think with all the experience that this company claims to have, I would have a nicely finished driveway rather than a crew that showed up and was in a hurry to get home rather to do the job right. The good - they were able to quickly address my paving needs. The bad - they haven't completed the contracted worked and have become conveniently "unresponsive" to my multiple calls to them to complete the contracted work. When I refer to the contracted work I mean all of the work specified in writing.

Stand up company. The owner saw some issues with the original 7 years ago and has committed to fixing it at the companys cost. I appreciate small businesses that stand behind their product.

I only really dealt with the scheduler since they came to seal while I was at work. I can say that customer service is top notch, very professional and prompt. The sealed driveway looks great, there were a few globs and a couple cracks that could have used more patching. overall they were very prompt and made this process painless.

Gave me a estimate on Sunday and replaced the driveway on Monday.

This was my first time using Home Advisor. I could not be more pleased with the job done by Hotmixx. I received a quote within a few days of my inquiry, the price was better than I expected. The work was scheduled quickly and the team showed up on time. I am super pleased with the results. I will definitely contact Hotmixx when my driveway needs repaving in a few years.

This may have been the hardest working crew I have seen in a long time. And they really cared about the quality of work that they delivered. I selected Hotmixx because my estimator, Kevin, absolutely had the right solution and approach. Hotmixx was not the cheapest but what they offered was clearly reason to go with them. Jimmy led this crew and they worked diligently around bad weather and long hours to make sure that I had a perfect new driveway. What they delivered was beyond my expectations. Also, Kevin was on-site routinely to make sure that I was happy with the work being performed.

Very flexible and easy to work with in terms of getting an estimate (took measurement without me needing to miss work to be there) and scheduled. Work was done on time, as promised, and worksite was left clean.
