If you are considering hiring this contractor (Juan Gutierrez), learn from our mistake and look elsewhere. What should have been a straightforward project turned into months of stress, broken promises, and thousands of dollars paid for work that was never completed. From the beginning, we were given timelines and assurances the work would be done properly and on schedule. Instead, deadlines were repeatedly missed, with excuse after excuse. Months passed with little progress, poor communication, and constant delays, including months without a roof, which led to leaks and significant mold. Despite this, we tried to work with him in good faith. We were patient, flexible, and treated him and his team with kindness. Unfortunately, that respect was not returned. In the end, we paid thousands for incomplete work. Communication eventually stopped, and he left unfinished work and materials on our property, forcing us to hire others to fix and complete the job.
