My 14 year old AC unit broke was not pumping cool air, started seeking for a repairman and discovered Homeadvisor to help me locate a trusted repairman. They connected me to The HVAC Guys of SC. I made an appointment online. I received a call from the HVAC Guys, as they were running late from a previous job but would be long shortly. Late afternoon, while people are starting their happy hours, Scott showed up did some checks on the unit to discover low on R-22 Freon. Quick, professional and honest group.

I was able to get an appointment the next day after going a weekend without ac in 100 degree weather versus almost a week out with other companies. Punctual, thorough, affordable, and explained my options based upon the age of my unit (14 years old) including the amount of money and times I had recently exhausted having one company basically â keep applying a bandaidâ on something that needed to be replaced. I was able to have my new cost effective unit installed the next day! I would highly recommend HVAC Guy SC for heating and air needs!

Buyer beware. He was quick to tell us what was "wrong" and told us we needed a very expensive replacement part. AC had been running fine up until the 12 hours beforehand. He comes out, says he adds freon and the AC only works for another 12. We had someone else come out for a second opinion and when we explained what HVAC Guys had told us, he debunked EVERYTHING. HVAC Guys cut corners and took advantage of first-time homeowners. Only positive was that they were quick to offer a refund once I started asking questions about his assessment.

Scott called me almost immediately after I asked for a quote, then he tried to walk me through a fix, however it didn't work, so he came out the next day and resolved my problem.

Very pleased with the professional knowledge and efficient job. Super support for our price and financial need. Kind to us as customers. Definitely will use them again if needed.

The person came out and checked my system and told me about a lot of things that I could put on the system. A lot of bells and whistles that I could put on the system. I pay for a year of service with this company. I can not say at this time if I will do it again.

Scott came out in the early afternoon to look at the DEAD unit. Gave us 3 options. We went with a new Bosch unit. Dave and his team were out in two days when the unit arrived to install it. They even let us borrow a window unit till installation. Great customer service after the install.
