HYF Painting Services

I hired HYF Painting to paint the exterior of my house. They were on the higher end of the 4 bids I received. I found it rather hard to choose a painter because they all seem to be rather sketchy in Durango. I was really hoping to have a great experience with this company. They pointed to all their great reviews as proof that I should hire them. The job was complete. I did 4 separate walk throughs with the job boss to get my approval of the job. Each time I found several things that needed to be corrected. Things like overspray on several areas of brick that was not supposed to be painted. Areas that needed additional coats to cover the previous color. Cleaning the windows because they did not mask them before spraying the siding. When I finally signed off the job I felt pressure because the entire crew had left to another job and only left with the job boss. I pointed out some overspray that was up high and he didn't have a ladder to reach it. He went and got one to correct that area. Also, before I signed off the project I asked what would happen if I found something after. I was assured they would make it right, again pointing to their spectacular reviews ensuring satisfaction. Well, I've come to find out that is a flat out lie. I've found several things the need attention and I'm getting the cold shoulder. First, I'm finding paint spills far away from my house they didn't clean up. My deck they "sanded" and re-stained is peeling. The surface was not prepared correctly and therefore the new stain is coming up. It's only been 3 weeks since the job was done. Lastly , the sheen on the siding is splotchy. When I approved the job, the sun was very bright and it was difficulty to tell how the surface looked. Now that I've had a chance to look at it in all light conditions, it looks like a mess. Based on my experience and what I paid, I was overcharged by about double what it was worth. Very unhappy with the quality. So, for the last two weeks I've been trying to connect with the company and unable to do so to any degree. I texted to Landon, the sales guy to say I had some issues. I included pictures of this issues. I gave a couple days for him to respond. Nothing. I called him on the next Monday in the morning. I received a text saying he would return my call. Nothing. I called and left a message. Nothing. Called several more times with no response still. I decided to email the company. The owner, responded with an apology and asked that I send pictures and a description of the issue. He also stated that Landon was on vacation. Not sure why he would text me stating he would call back if he's on vacation. I replied explaining the issues. Didn't hear back from him. I emailed again asking if he received my email. No response. I emailed again the next day asking if he received the issues. After the 2nd email asking if he received the issues, his reply was "Sir, you have been responded to twice. You service/ email inbox has issues wich is not my fault nor my problem. We infact are waiting on your response". I find this to be extremely unprofessional and rude. I replied asking him to resend his response because I have not received his. I checked my junk folder and there's nothing in there. His accusation that it's my fault that his response was not received is nothing short of his lack of customer service and professionalism. I've emailed twice more asking that he call me with nothing. Please stay as far away from this company as you can. I don't know about all the other people that found their work to be 5 stars.

Rollan showed up on time on all five days. Extra painters also showed up on time. Rollan did 95% of the painting and clean-up. Excellent paint job. Colors were excellent. Job was done in allotted time. Extra care was taken with moving furniture and other household items. Foreman checked on progress.

They did both the interior and exterior of my home. I highly recommend them. The owner, managers and workers were all friendly and helpful.

Shawn and Beth were very professional and accommodating. My cabinets turned out beautiful. They quickly addresses any concerns or questions I had. Would highly recommend.

Shaun and Beth were wonderful to work with. They made a great painting team and did an excellent job with an entire inside house paint. Sonny and his guy did a great job on my two patios as well.

Tyler and his crew went above and beyond taking care of the patio and front entrance concrete paint project. When Steve (QC) came to inspect the job after the work was completed by the assigned person, he wasn't completely satisfied with the quality of work that had been done. Scheduled re-work to be done within a couple of days and we were more pleased with the final outcome on our project. Wife and I are very pleased with them matching the color of our siding, the pricing seemed very fair for all they did and if we have a future need, Tyler will definitely get a call from us. Excellent company that stands behind their work and I believe Tyler and crew deserved a 5.0.

They showed up on the promised date and completed the job on time and it looks good. Thats better than a lot of contractors these days!

Took the time to do things right, with attention to detail.

Competitive bid. Waited an extra week for them to start due to rain. One person to powerwash, one to prep work two did cut ins. Did all I asked. The wife very satisfied. Got some paint on garage that wasn't painted but where they stored equipment. Cigarette butts in yard from worker. Very minimal problems. I would hire them again 14 years from now. Excellent warranty given... Tyler the owner was a pleasure to work with and listened to my desires.

Tyler and Sonny did a great job for the amount of work required after our house flooded. Repair dry wall, tape, texture, and paint. The teamwork the company possess was great too and great customer service.

I hired Tyler to paint my house, almost all of my interior and all of exterior. He is very professional and highly skilled with exceptional customer service. Extremely conscience of my property and possessions. Tyler was totally professional in his bid process and true to his word, a quality that is not often seen in construction. He was timely, clean in his care of my house and his staging area and very efficient. Nothing but 5 star all the way!

They refinish cabinets very well.

This process of painting my cabinets was excellent. Tyler called and confirmed and the service was excellent. He wore a mask the entire time and actually worked on a Sunday to get the job done. I liked them so much I hired them to finish the kitchen project, instead of waiting weeks for others to do their part. I would completely recommend this company to everyone.

We hired HYF to stain the trim on our house. Tyler was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions. HYF showed up on time and did a beautiful job completing the work safely, quickly, and at a fantastic rate. We were not in town when the work was completed and Tyler sent us pictures of the completed job. Their work was so good our neighbors hired him on the spot to stain their house as well.
