Quick response but a sheep in wolfs clothing. Misrepresents as a firm when it is actually a one-man show working from home. Comes across as responsive and knowledgeable, but then gets very wishy-washy. Provided a design but after I questioned his methodology (I took mechanical engineering courses in college); he kept changing the design after I pointed out flaws. Should not he be the expert? Worse, when it came time to provide a written guarantee at the end (during the initial interview he said he did), he wrote on the post-design/build blueprint that the design was not guaranteed against mechanical or structural failure. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Then why would I hire you? Only the threat of legal action changed his tune. NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR USE EVER AGAIN!

Provided two conflicting reports one day apart without providing an explanation of the reason for the change.

Justin was AMAZING! I talked with him on a Wednesday morning and he was there at 3 PM that day. He was extremely professional and efficient. He listened to my concerns and addressed all of them. Thank goodness he didnâ t find any issues with our home (other than a retaining wall) but I will definitely hire him again when we buy a house in the future. Highly recommend this business!

Response to my request was immediate. Stress loads were reviewed, calculated with a report provided the next day. Absolutely relieved and happy with what they did for me. 5 star company.

We requested a solution to prevent further erosion from a drainage issue. I met with Justin Hall and he provided us with a report and suggested resolution. All of our concerns have been laid to rest and we've been able to successfully divert the water. I would highly recommend their service. PS: Your survey won't let me rate the work quality, customer service or value for the money ~ However I would give them a 5 across the board.

While I hadn't initially planned to spend extra money for an engineer, I'm very much satisfied with my decision to do so. It was indeed worth it! I felt it best to employ the services of a professional to help with my first home, so I did an online search for structural engineers, and came across Hall Engineering. Honestly, Martin was great! He was prompt(actually a few minutes early!), professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. It was a really enjoyable experience! His answers were honest, practical, and helped me to make design decisions that I'd contemplated for a while. He took the time to actually explain what could, or couldn't be done based on current structuring, and what would be cost effective. He even took an extra trip up into the attic to be thorough about the information he gathered, and the answers that he was giving me. I'm sure he's quite busy, and knowing that, I really appreciate the extra time he took to make that extra attic trip. When it's time for the next project(front porch addition) I definitely plan to contact Martin; and will recommend him to anyone I know that could use his expertise! Thanks again!
