Very disappointed with the HRII service after having no issues for the last several years. I called to find out a general idea of when they would service my area for the spring. I was told they do not know what "area" of Hampton Roads would be serviced until the day prior,. If you have a restrictive schedule/obligations then expect issues on your end unless you get the highest maintenance plan. Understandable the basic maintenance plan does not allow a "scheduled" appointment; however, how does a company not have the ability to generally gauge what city they may be servicing days out. I did not need a firm day but giving me a 1-3 week window before being contacted is unsatisfactory. They do not even have a general idea of what "area" they will be servicing a week out to allow those customers an opportunity to de-conflict their own respective obligations. If the day prior you are unable to meet their "area" schedule then I was told you had to wait until the next time they have enough bookings for your area. Could be another couple of weeks before they revisit your area. Something to consider as a customer.

It must be the time of year for over promising and under delivering. I received a great fast response from HRI when I sent in the inquiry via home advisor for Pavers. I was visited by 2 HRI people within 48 hours. I was told 1-2 weeks to install. It ended up being 4. Not a huge deal but not as expected. They offered a "special buy" on pavers but admitted they didn't have enough of these pavers to completely pave the area I wanted paved. I explained to both gentlemen that came to visit that I could live with that and we agreed on how to place the pavers to make the installation suitable for my situation. On the morning they showed up I was given less than 12 hours notice but no problem. I was working from home so I spoke to the install lead who didn't have much to stay but I let him know I was there if he had any questions. He said he didn't and went on about his business as did I. Later that afternoon I noticed they had installed the pavers the opposite of what I discussed with the sales people. They were supposed to start at the end near my house and when they ran out of pavers they would extend the flower bed at the opposite end to inner the pavers. They started at the wrong end and left a 42 sq ft unpaved area at the wrong end. After discussing with the project manager I offered 3 possible solutions. They responded with my 3rd option of giving me 42 sq ft of pavers for me to correct the job. I'm OK with this but don't want to wait another unknown length of time for the pavers as I would like to scratch this off my personal punch list. I fear I'll be waiting based on the delayed install date. I got the invoice to pay the balance of my contract immediately. Billing Dept. on schedule! I can't help but think it may have been better to have gone with another contractor for a Paver project. We Live and learn.
