Hands On

I was quoted a price for up to 4 hours of cleaning. they stayed and cleaned for almost 5 and1/2 hours. They did a GREAT JOB! I will be using this cleaning service again. Showed up on time and didn't take any breaks.

First, this referral for Hands On was apparently passed on to a company called Powerhouse Services, but since Hands On was the company I contracted with, this review should still reflect on them. Two people arrived on time and completed the job with no problem. In fact, they did excellent work and had great attitudes. I had asked to pay with a credit card but they told me they only took checks or cash so I wrote a check, curiously to an individual rather than to a company. That afternoon, I was called by one of the workers and an office person saying the check had been refused because of "insufficient funds and that mine was a 'risky account' ". I knew that was not true since there was cash in the account and there was bounce protection on the account. The calls demanded that I pay immediately in cash. I went to the bank and found there was no problem with my account. I told the company that I would pay cash but they had to return my check first. The company then told me that they had discovered a problem with their account and admitted that it was their problem, but they still demanded cash, but I still required the check be returned first. They gave me a story that someone's wife had taken it out of town with her, but I persisted in wanting the check back, telling that it was their problem, not mine. The next day I found that my check had been cashed. THIS WAS PRETTY CLEARLY A SCAM AND AN ATTEMPT TO GET ME TO PAY TWICE. It's a pity the good work they did was sullied by someone's attempt to extract double payment from me.

I did not have a good experience. They did not clean all the items on the list and they brought their children to the cleaning.

quick repairs

I paid for a deep cleaning. They showed up 35 minutes late, never swept my floors, just ran a vacuum over them (all hardwood) and then mopped. Needless to say the floors looked horrible. They dusted about half the furniture, didn’t do baseboards or wipe down cabinet fronts, didn’t clean the microwave, spot cleaned the bathrooms. And then had the audacity to ask for my Wi-Fi password and claimed the next morning to have lost my check and wanted to come by to get another one. I called the main number for Hands On and got Sherry, she wasn’t overly interested in hearing what had happened. I asked for Michelle, she’s nice, and she seemed to be appalled by what had happened and scheduled a new crew to come in today at 7:00am. At 7:25 I called the main number again and get not so sweet Sherry who informs me she was going to call to let me know “the baby is sick” so no one would be coming today. She couldn’t be bothered to do that 30 mins earlier when they were supposed to be here? In my opinion, they came in, took the $400, had no intention of cleaning the house as they had said they would in the contract they had my sign, played on their phones using my Wi-Fi, tried to take another $400 they ask for, and then couldn’t be bothered to let me know they weren’t going to show up. Truly not happy! Please do not use these con artists as suggestions for anyone else.

They hung around until 11:00 to get job done

Very knowledgeable and courteous.

They did a great job on short notice and really made a difference helping to get my home ready to sell.

They determined what the problem was and were able to repair it immediately, in the rain I might add. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the explanation of what was going on throughout the process.

On time.

They want cash only. They charge $10 extra to write a check. I was not comfortable with that.

Diagnosed the problems and fixed appropriately. Can't ask much more that that
