It has been a horrible ordeal with this person Heather. She left stain all over my siding and door. While she returned to clean some of it, still stain there from spraying. She claims not doing this. She also missed areas. Left paint all over my grass. A pile of saw dust, blue tape. She left and didnâ t not tell me. She also came back on my property without my permission. Very unprofessional and leaves customers in the air by not responding to concerns. She over books and takes on too much. I am not even sure she is qualified to do everything she claims. A professional would have returned to clean up the messes and finished the project. After reading a review on here about other concerns being investigated, I felt it necessary to let others know NOT to hire her. My experience took up so much time and nothing but a mess!

"I did not enter your property w/o permission. You were home when I cleaned the stain, as you request. I was unable to clean the years-old stain of a different color from your previous contractor for which I sent you photos. The tape couldn't be removed without walking on the wet deck. You were quite happy with work at the time it was completed and you signed your contract with your check, although you asked for a discount on the materials I paid for. You have harassed me to no end and I have bent over backwards to accommodate you, even after you refused to pay for add'l materials you requested. This review was left as retaliation when I told you that I didn't want to work with you going forward. PS - I haven't been on Angi's list in almost 2 years, and your review is not based on work you hired me for through this site. I've done multiple projects for you, and only when I told you our business relationship was over, did you put this review up. I'll be working to have it removed since it's not a legitimate review, nor am I provided work or leads through this site."

Heather not only did my Front Yard Landscaping, but also did the side yard flower garden, plus installed a 50Ft Stockade Fence in the rear of the backyard. Heather is quick, meticulous, and Professional all the way. Not to forget very reasonable, honest, and trustworthy. I would and will hire her again in a heart beat. Thank you Heather for the phenomenal job. Youâ  re the best.

I am so very happy with the carport Heather built for me and I have her number on speed dial. Her work is amazing and she's always there when she says she will be. Her estimate for supplies was right on and the labor was very reasonable. I will always call her for any work I need done. It's very hard to find people you can TRUST to do what needs to be done and Heather does it right. She's a sweetheart, she's smart, and she has a wonderful work ethic.

I hired Heather for other jobs in the past and her work was amazing! So I had a big project, called her at the very last minute, she showed up with her gear within a half an hour and painted, hung custom blinds and customized a wall to perfection! All on a Sunday afternoon! Thank you Heather..you went above and beyond AGAIN! Hard working, reliable and perfectionist! If it werenâ t for her, I would be still opening the paint cans and looking at a disaster of a shed! Definitely will hire her again!

UPDATE: Provided with the evidence of wrong-doing, the FairClaims arbitrator ruled in our favor......resulting in a judgement against Handy Heather that required her to return almost $10K of prepaid labor, returned items, unaccounted for monies, and billing for tools & out-of-scope items to my husband and me. ---------------------------------- Heather is unreliable and unprofessional! I would not recommend her! Even though we paid her for all work and materials estimated (and more), she walked off the job, taking well over $6K in materials, equipment that I had purchased, and prepaid labor. The quality of the work that Heather performed started out as good; however, as she brought unskilled labor into the project it quickly went to poor. This required that she constantly redo most everything they touched. At the onset of the project, Heather knew we were on a tight time-crunch to move back into the house and she committed to NOT take on new projects (of more than two days) so that she could dedicate herself to my project. However, after the first full week on our project, Heather proceeded to take on at least 4 multi-day projects (each requiring 3-4 days to complete) during the 6 weeks she was working with us. As a result, multiple completion deadlines were missed. In order to get Heather to focus on completing our project, we foolishly paid her all labor costs up-front (before the work was finished) so that she had the resources to pay her bills. However, she continued to schedule and take on more work and NOT complete our project. As for the bid price, it was wildly off, and we were constantly asked to pay more than $6K in additional costs (labor and materials). Heather is quick to claim this is due to change in project scope; however, the scope was clearly laid out for her at the onset. The issue was she was unable to fully focus and complete any portion of the scope....leaving everything started and not finished. Ultimately, Heather stopped working on the house claiming we owed her more than $2K in additional materials (equipment rentals) that were NOT part of the original estimate agreed to at the time we hired her OR throughout the project. After careful examination of the invoices, we were surprised to learn that Heather did not have the tools necessary to complete the job and she billed the full cost of those tools to us. Once Heather had walked off the job, we had to hire a different contractor to not only finish the job, but to redo most everything she had done as it was incorrect, poorly executed, out of code standards, etc. Sadly, I am aware of several other recent customers that have had similar experiences with Heather, but are afraid to post negative reviews (determining the money they are out is not worth the hassle or threats of retribution). We too are fearful of repercussions of posting truthful negative feedback; however, in order to get resolution through Home Advisors stringent mitigation process, a formal review had to be posted that reflected our experience.

Heather is awesome!! Very easy to work with, professional, detailed, and on time. She completely redesigned and renovated my kitchen. She came up with the color scheme and ideas after I explained what I was looking for. Then she did all the work herself! The cabinets were all stripped, doors removed to sand and paint. Top and bottom over a dozen pairs of cabinet doors and 8 drawers. Heather painted and treated the cabinets for a distressed look. Stunning work. New tile backsplash installed around the whole kitchen and a butcher block counter. I recieved an estimate for the cabinets alone that was over 6000. Heather was able to do the cabinets faster and at less than half the cost. The job was completed in 3 weeks. Thank you Heather! I love my new kitchen! Oh PS, I had her come back and do a whole new vinyl plank floor in the kitchen. Heather really can do anything I ask her. Will definitely be calling her again.
