We felt $60/hr to put weatherstripping up was high. I could understand if it took some special carpentry skill or something. Material costs over $80 were a bit outrageous. He was a nice enough guy and showed up when he said he would, which is rare. He tried to weatherproof 3 doors. The amount of wind that comes through has been reduced, but now the back door has a leak at the top. I guess I'll have to try to fix that myself. He also repaired a leak above one of the doors and caulked two skylights. We won't know if that made a difference or not until later this winter. Again, a nice guy, but at those prices, I can't recommend him.
Response from Handytech
"Comparing other handyman companies that do quality work are hard to find.for this customer I did much more work than door weather stripping. I tuck pointed her chimmeny, painted her ceiling in dinning room, caulked roof above back deck, caulked windows in both front and back of her house, re installed flashing around chimmeny and sealed it. Repaired cracked chimmeny cap and sealed both inside and outside of two sky lights. I warranty all my work for a year and she knows that. All doors were sealed and no leakes. Her back door was installed in-correctly and was not level it was also 18 years old and very cheep product. Discounts were given."

Graham could not meet the first schedule but promptly called to reschedule. He was professional and provided good feedback to the questions asked of him. He showed up for the work timely and was pleasant to work with. I will certainly hire him and/or refer him to anyone in the future. Vel

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
Absolutely outstanding - he was so quick to respond by phone, and took care of the immediate problem that same week. Will now be coming back to do the rest of the projects.

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
This was a very small project. The bill was significantly higher than the estimate. He charged over $70.00 for materials which consisted of a couple of boards, nails and a quart of paint. that would cost no more than $25.00. He refused to show me a receipt of materials he bought. He was gone over an hour to buy the materials. He really took his time to finish the job. The quality of the work was average.
Response from Handytech
"project was billed a flat rate not hourly. also there was more than a few boards purchased, trim (crown) caulk, screws, nails, paint, primer etc markup on material that is very small.the $70 customer is claiming is including the $15 van stock and the $20 one time service charge. estimated project to take 4 hours charged $240 for the project. VERY REASONABLE! under promised & over delivered"
