Project: Repair Drywall
They do a very job in communication on arrival times with an app that tracks the handyman’s progress and phone calls. He is very upbeat and friendly. He works alone and cared for our furniture and carpets for the inside ceiling painting. Everything was cleaned up when he finished. The drywall repair was also completed in a professional manner with care for all of our things in the garage.

Could not fix the main faucet issue. Extremely rude owner. He in fact used very offensive language. Handyman who came has language barrier. Customer service over the phone was worse. Would never recommend this company to anyone.
Response by Handyman Connection of Rockville: To begin with, the scope of work communicated to the office staff consisted of re-grout tiles and the replacement of the shower head. There was no mention of the need to replace a diverter value. Had we been aware of his intention to do so, we would have dispatched a plumber for the task of replacement of the diverter valve. The craftsman's performance / quality of workmanship in the re-grouting of the tiles and replacement of the shower head was in the words of the client, excellent. I calmly attempted to explain to the customer the need for a plumber to take care of the diverter valve, but he refused to accept my suggestion. When I asked him to pay us for the services rendered he refused to pay the price on the existing contract. At that point I had had enough of his attitude and frankly speaking went off on him. The amount of monies owed our company totaled $245.00. I finally asked him what he felt was reasonable. He came back with a figure of $100.00 at which time I took him to task for cheating our company out of the price we were owed. I finally agreed to the $100.00-dollar figure and told him going forward to never contact our company for additional work. I do not apologize for losing my temper. This individual demonstrated a complete lack of respect to my employee and myself. M. David Klein, Sr. Owner

We have a pretty sizeable shed, and we think he deserves a solid 8/10. The shed looks absolutely fantastic, but Greg seems to have made a couple of mistakes that I am going to have to fix.

Project: Repair Drywall
I overpaid for a mediocre job, by an unprofessional handyman who put my children and my home at risk. I experienced the following issues with the handyman who came out, Joshua Briggs: 1. When he arrived to give me a quote, he didn't bring his quote forms. He asked to borrow my computer and printer to print one. 2. He told me the work would be done by 5pm (I explicitly confirmed this as I have young children I needed to pick up from daycare). He wasn't done until 8:30pm, more than double the time he told me it would take. 3. Although I had moved everything in the work area out of the way to avoid dust, he used my baby's bottle warmer and kettle as weights to keep his dropcloth from falling off my kitchen counter. As a result, both were filthy. If there's one thing you want to keep clean and sterile, it's a baby's bottle warmer. 4. When I left the house to collect my children, despite having told Joshua that I would be under 15 minutes, I came home to an empty house and my house UNLOCKED. He had left my house to go and buy a drill (what kind of handyman doesn't have a working drill?) 5. He left knives on the floor of my kitchen, in a home that clearly houses very young children. I was forced to prepare dinner for my 9 month old and 3 year old working around exposed blades and mess (which wouldn't have been an issue at all if he had finished at 5pm like he said he would). 6. In hindsight, I was overcharged for the job: over $550 to patch a 12"x18" hole in my drywall, and it wasn't even sanded afterwards (or painted). I acknowledge that this was my fault for accepting such a ridiculous quote, and I wouldn't have an issue if the job was done well and professionally. 7. When I complained the owner called me to apologize, making excuses that he was newly hired. Not my problem. The only remedy I was offered was $50 off a future job. In case it isn't clear, there will be no future job. Ever. A pathetic response. 8. They then had the gall to call for feedback AGAIN a week later, and when I gave it, she couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. I overpaid for a mediocre job, by an unprofessional handyman who put my children and my home at risk. Never again.
Response by Handyman Connection of Rockville: It has been my experience that in some cases there are two sides to a story. This would be one of those cases. My intention is to address each of this individual's allegations in the order listed in her review. 1. The pricing offered was fair. Prior to the commencement of work the customer was presented with a fixed price proposal which she reviewed, signed off on and willingly paid a deposit. 2. The job did indeed run over the estimated time due to unexpected issues which came up. It is important to note that the client was not charged any additional amount for the extra time required to successfully complete the work. 3. It is company policy to have the client remove the contents from the work area prior to construction activities. Given the fact that I was not on site during the duration of the work I have no idea how or why my employee would have secured his drop cloths but seriously doubt he would have used the client's possessions. 4. The client left her home and indicated she would only be a few minutes. This turned out to not be the case. During the time when she was away the craftsman ran out of supplies and ran out to the store to gather some additional drill bits. No doubt the craftsman should not have left the home unlocked and he has been reprimanded. 5. The knives referenced are commonly referred to as drywall taping and joint tools. Contrary to the customer's allegations the tools were left on a countertop not on the floor. In conclusion it seems that the mistake of leaving the home unattended caused the homeowner to create a report on her experiences which was less than factual. Regards, M.
