Handyman Matters is the best handyman service we have ever used! Craig is very personable and professional. When they do work, they do it right and at a VERY reasonable price. With almost every project, we have gotten 3 quotes and Handyman Matters comes in under, EVERY time. I trust them alone in my home, and trust them completely with every project. So far they have done around 10 projects in our home over the past 2 years. I can't say enough good things about them.

Exterior Surfaces - Powerwashing
I rated Handyman Matters poor and would not use them EVER AGAIN because they ripped me off for at least $75.00. Craig made alot of promises of how the job would go and what the final cost would be and it was at least $200 MORE!!! Craig said that the worker would assess the job and then bring me a contract to read and that was when the worker would notify me that the job was starting, this never happened. I was presented with this contract after the work was completed and payment was due. Nick originally tried to charge me 5 hours for the job and it was only 12:30 pm and he said it was 1:00pm. All the good reviews from this company are mostly from 2007, beware that the charge by the hour is a scam with this company, in my opinion. Craig said the whole job would take 2 hours. Craig came LATE to the worksite and he said he would be on time. I was charged for this time that the worker, Nick was at my house and was doing nothing the whole time for an hour. I was charged 4 and half hours for a 3 and half hour job. I phoned Craig on 7/9/08 and told his receptionist, Sharon to tell Craig to come get his equipment he left on my propertry and in that conversation I told her of my problem with them overcharging me $75.00. I never heard back from Craig. The quality of the work was not a problem, the problem was the charging by the hour for work time that was not done. I will never hire this company or any other company that charges by the hour again..
Response from Handyman Matters
"This started the day after the job was completed and paid for when this customer called to say she would like $100 back when asked if there was a problem with the work she said no. She then threatened a poor review to hold us hostage. She was home the whole time and signed our contract both at beginning and end of the job and paid for it on the spot. The scam here is not perpetrated by us."

Craig was fantastic. He not only was there to help in a pinch, but he did more that was expected. He went the "extra mile" to make sure not only the client but the property was well taken care of - a great attitude and work ethic to say the least. I highly recommend Craig and his Handyman Matters team!

Craig was fantastic. Showed up earlier than promised, went right to work and was both friendly and professional. Highly recommend his work. (this survey should have an excellent rating also)

The contractor for this work did a very good job, with one exception. For my 8:00 AM appointment, the contractor didn't arrive until 10:00! Things like this make it very difficult to coordinate with a busy work schedule of my own.

I used both services. They were so nice and on time and very honest and great to work with. I don't mean this to sound pitiful or anything but we all know it is still a mans world and as a single woman on my own and in dire need of this work to be done, I have to say I felt very afraid of being taken advantage of. My guard was up at all time, but I was very comfortable with the estimates and the work that was done. Thank you very much for referring me to such honest and upstanding companies. I really appreciate it and I will refer others.

Patrick was polite and professional. They estimated that it would take one hour or slightly more to do the job, but it took over 2 hours. Overall, I was pleased with their work and would consider hiring them again for future projects.

The experience was great except that my appointment was for 8 am and they called shortly before 8 to see they would be there closer to 9. He did not arrive until 10:30. He also left the packages from the products he was using (ie curtain rods) in each room for me to clean up. Everything else was professional and perfect.

I cannot begin to tell you how very pleased we are with this company. Though the work is now ongoing so far Craig and Jim are as professional and knowledgeable as I could have wished. Half my list was done in no time and Mr. Morgan is brilliant. Thanks again.
