Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
I initially hired Handyman Matters to fix a skylight, and do other minor repairs. In the end I was so pleased with their work and professionalism, and when I found out that they also performed other services, I hired them to do interior and exterior painting, power-washing, and other services. They are an EXCELLENT company, with great customer service and professional and friendly craftsmen. I highly recommend them to anyone, and I am a stickler for perfection.

Jim did excellent work. My porch posts, which had rotted at the bottoms, look like brand new. The painting is excellent; none was spilled on the cement floor or driveway. And, Jim cleaned up sawdust, etc., afterwards. He arrived on time and completed the job the same day, within the estimate previously provided. He behaved in a professional manner throughout the job, from the estimate to the completion of the work. I hope to use Handyman Matters again later this Fall for more work I need on my home.

The initial contact went uneventful with the Lead Carpenter and was quoted at high end. The high end quote was different from the actual cost which did not include all the work. Carpenters billable hours were $75 per hr/man. Intitially, Handyman Matters personnel never explained the "man hours", nor was an official contract presented. I received a call around 9:00 p.m. the prior evening informe me the work will start at 7:30 a.m. The workers arrived at 7:55 a.m. after picking up materials from Lowes. Little did I know that my billable hours included the material runs to the store twice and phone calls. Co-worker chose another contractor

"We have a policy that we don't leave until you are satisfied and sign off - which was done by customer; and a 1 year warranty on our labor. We also tell everyone for Time and Materials, we can only "guestimate". We also have customers sign a release to begin work stating they agree with initial assessment. We also explain "discovery" - which means that once a wall is opened, as an example, we might discover wood rot or plumbing issues. That will obviously then cost more in time - and we may need to return to the store to get more items. Communication in life is key - it is difficult to ascertain where the miscommunication lays."

True PROs. Did a fantastic job. 3 day effort and my wife is extremely pleased. Demolished an old closet and installed a modern closet system. Lighting, switches, tracks, molding, walls - everything. I'll be using Handyman Matters for our next projejct as well. Honest and professional. (and they keep a clean, safe work environment.)

He was very good to get the work done, worked to get everything right. He stayed with in the cost. It was a huge room, put in a bedroom at one end of the room. They were really good.
