They repaired my gutters and made the repairs look seamless with the existing gutters. The color they chose also blended in with the house. They we're quick to come out and assess, provide an estimate and fix the problem!

They were very responsive and did everything I asked. Maybe a small thing, but I would have preferred the same person that came to do the estimate would have come to do the work, or at least been offered the opportunity to book earlier with someone else, or wait for the person I had discussed the project with.

I do all the estimating for our company and would like nothing more than to be at the start of every job. We have several techs working everyday and most of our jobs are handyman jobs that are 1/2- 2 day jobs, which makes it impossible to be at every job start. Our techs are briefed on every job and call our customer the night before to discuss the job before coming the next day. We try to communicate the tasks to be completed but the full scope is discussed with the customer the day of the job. Thanks again for your valuable feedback!! Doug"

Doors (Interior) - Install or Replace
Final, actual price for materials was double that contained in the estimate because their "distributor only quoted for one door instead of two." One of the main reasons I selected them was because they seemed ready to take responsibility for determining what was required for the job and dealing with the supplier(s) -- that part didn't happen. Tom and his associate did a fine job with the installation.

"This was our second project for this customer. We were hired to install custom doors to close off an office space. We took the job on a Time and Materials basis as sometimes custom projects evolve as they proceed. The materials on this project did end up costing approx. 300.00 more than the estimated materials price of 485.00. We tried to keep the customer informed as the job proceeded but in the end the custom made doors did end up costing more than what we quoted as some modifications were needed during installation."

We've had Handyman Matters to our home several times and every time the work they did was done well and on time. From painting to deck cleaning to electrical work to gutter cleaning to cabinet repair just anything you need done they do it well. Will definitely have them back the next time we have a project. Oh and their prices are very reasonable. Good people.

What a Rip Off . One Guy comes in and gives a Quote and breaks everything down into small jobs like I asked , so I could budget the work . Only 1 Job required 2 men , but they sent 2 men on the first day to do One of the Jobs on the list . At the end of the 8 hour day , the job was complete , but the Bill for this Job was double what my Quote was , because instead of the 74.00 Per Hour on the Original Quote , I was charged 148.00 per hour for One Job that required One Man . The Only way this would have been justified was for one guy to do one job and the other guy to do the other small job . Instead they just told me that the guy who did the quotes was Way Under what it should have been . The small jobs were to replace rotted wood on a deck and Rotted Door Moldings on 3 levels . I understand and expected there might be more Rot than we could see , but it still did Not Require 2 Men and 148.00 Per Hour times 8 hours for the job . I think they charged me for their Lunch Break too ...They also failed to attach part of one step, left a Hand Rail Loose when they reattached , and the spacing on the one step they fixed is too far apart and needs to be fixed again .hey also failed to replace some of the rotted wood in this area . So the bill was supposed to be about 800 and I was given a Bill for 1700 . Make sure you Know and Specify How Many Men will be on the Job .

"As part of our process we did an initial quote on this project and the Loretta was informed of our pricing, and a complete task list and pricing were supplied for the work that was discussed. Before the work was scheduled Loretta informed us that there were other issues she needed addressed before starting the work that we quoted. We sent two men to work on these structural issues of the deck that Loretta wanted done. This was work outside the quoted items. Structural deck support issues require two men for efficiency and safety as we were now asked to replace support beams and posts on a two story deck. P.S. We do not charge for lunch breaks"

"Our customer in Ephrata contacted us about the color match and I personally made a trip to their home to discuss the matter. After seeing the stain it was clear that the color was not acceptable and we sent a craftsman out to correct the mismatched color at no charge. We accepted no payment for our work until we worked with our customer to correct the issue and he was 100% satisfied upon completion of the project."

The Handyman Matters crew here in Lancaster are true experts from the quick response quoting and scheduling the job to completing the work the same day. I had a storm door fixed without having to replace it; a new storm door and wooden exterior door installed; sill/threshold replaced and garbage disposal unit removed and all plumbing reconfigured and replaced. The job was completed within the quote range and was done superbly. This is a very difficult house to work on because of its age, but Joe @ Handyman Matters was not the least bit discouraged and saw the job through to completion and did it BEAUTIFULLY! Thank you.
