I recently hired a handyman for some home repairs, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment he arrived, he was punctual and ready to work. His professionalism stood out immediately; he took the time to assess the tasks at hand, explained what he would be doing, and answered all my questions with patience. The quality of his work was exceptional. He tackled various tasks—from fixing leaky faucets to patching drywall—and each job was completed efficiently and with great attention to detail. It was clear he takes pride in his work, as everything was finished to a high standard. Additionally, he maintained a clean workspace, which I appreciated. It’s always nice to have someone who respects your home. I highly recommend this handyman to anyone in need of reliable and skilled help. Johnny Mullinax was professional, courteous and very personable. He confidently competed the installation of the new deadbolts and locks. We also enjoyed easy conversation which was appreciated. We’re definitely planning to hire him again.

The handyman showed up to do an estimate June 26th and started work on June 29th. He gave me an estimate of $2368.90 to replace tile and subfloor on my bathroom floor, repair the drywall around the new shower install in my bathroom and then paint the walls. I provided him with the tile to finish the floor since it has been discontinued and i provided him with the paint for the walls. After several days, the drywall work looked very poorly done and was still not complete and he had removed the old tile and placed down subfloor that did not look correct. He also stated he needed to go under the house to place boards between the joists to support the subfloor. After 10 days and more than 36 hours, he stated that the floor was finished and the drywall was done and ready to be painted. His work was very poorly done even after taking an excessive amount of time to do the job which had not been entirely completed yet because he still needed to paint. After looking at the tile and using a level, the issue was addressed that it was very uneven, not safe and would need to be redone. Because there is no leftover tile, the whole floor will now have to be redone. I asked him if he'd worked on tile before and he said yes, but later told me that he usually did not take on jobs of this skill level and that he normally used his crew for these jobs. He said that he wanted to bring his crew to back to fix his work. After hearing this, I took some time to have a couple professionals look at his work and give their opinion. They were in agreement that the work was very poorly done and that the 6 square feet of tile wouldn't be able to be taken back up and fixed, that it would break, so the whole floor would need to be redone. I asked the handyman to stop work and not send anyone else over. I do not feel he was qualified for this job and I do not feel that he is qualified to come back and fix it, if anything, I feel that he could cause more damage. I am currently looking for estimates to fix his substandard work.

Johnny was fantastic! He came out the same day to build an entertainment center for me and did an excellent job. I even trusted him to stay and finish the work while I was away, and he was completely professional, trustworthy, and made sure everything was locked up when he left.
