They made promises as to the quality of the work and did not follow through with what was said. At the end of the job the following was found. A second layer of sub flooring was to be added. It was was measured incorrectly at 1/2" when it needed to be 3/4" plywood. It was suppposed to be tightened with extra screws to prevent creaking which was not done and the floor creeks like popcorn now.The rosin paper was left out between the two layers of sub floor. The flooring was not cut evenly around the wood vents so there are gaps between the vent and the planks. The floor was not sanded properly and thjere are visible lines and buffing marks.

"In response, HOB had difficulties with this client from the start.He had incorrect information and unattainable expectations.I made every attempt to educate him on the floors in his home,offer my expert opinion and give him appropriate,quality service.His "issues" were addressed throughout the stages of the project.Being"dissatisfied"is an ineffective way of renegiotiating his outstanding balance."

Excellent all-around. Ron was very knowledgeable and helpful during the intake process. Pricing was fair. Work was excellent. One criticism -- the men did not take their debris with them -- ie used sandpaper and empty cans of polyurethane. Thank you very much. Paul Schwartz

We were extremely pleased with the work that Hardwood of Bellmore did for us. Ron, the owner, was extremely professional and saw to it that our project was completed in record time. We have oak floors that we put a Cherry stain on and can honestly say that the final product looks identical to the sample Ron showed us prior to initiating the project. Also, the team that came in to do the floors paid close attention to detail and was very neat about their clean up. In addition, we found Ron to be honest, hard working and an overall nice guy......as such, we have no reservations in giving Ron/Hardwood of Bellmore our highest recommendation.
