Reviews
Write a ReviewGeorge is awesome to work with and his crew did a fantastic job on the install. Very professional. I highly recommend Harmony energy works.
Ed, thanks so much. We were very pleased with how your project turned out. Impressive!
I started my project with Harmony Energy works just because of the great communication experience I had with Jay. Then I wasn’t wrong, his team was extremely professional and on time every time. Even after the project is done Jay pickup the phone every time I call. Great company highly recommended
Kadhim, thank you for your positive comments. It is not only the initial sale that is important to us, but ongoing service. Not surprisingly, we have been designing, installing, and maintaining solar for over 16 years.
If you need a repair or want to have your panels removed for a roofing project, expect to be calling multiple times a day just to get someone to show up. The lack of communication was matched only by the bad-faith representations. When I needed my solar panels removed for a roofing project, trying to get them to commit to a date for the removal and reinstallation turned a 1 week project into a slog lasting 2 months just because they could not commit to a date without me calling incessantly to ask when they were showing up to finish their work. I was hoping this was was not representative of their company culture and business ethic and gave them another chance when I experienced a failure with my inverter. After reporting a problem with my array I was told repeatedly that they would have someone out there quote, this week, to look at it for weeks. Then they finally told me they already had the replacement part on hand, told me it would be fixed that Thursday and then ghosted me for a few more weeks telling me they needed to RMA the part. When the new part was finally installed, it was not configured to adequately serve my system and my battery backup was suddenly useless. Instead of showing any interest in correcting the issue, they just blamed the batteries, shifted the responsibility for fixing their mistake back to me and disappeared. These folks were pleasant to talk to and laid on the apologies, but the action to make things right did not follow. I cannot recommend them unless you want to waste your time hounding someone just to get a response.
We installed Christie Taylor's array in 2017. In Feb 2019, she called to get a quote to remove the array, as she was going to redo the roof with a standing metal roofer and the roofer was looking at an April start (I have my dated notes). April 10th, we removed her array from the roof and after the roofer finished his reroofing, we reinstalled with entirely new S-5-S feet on the 24th and 25th of April on the new metal roof. She paid on May 21st. I was not aware that she felt her reinstall was delayed, but she may have further details. Christie is very right it took a long time to get a new inverter for her - months. I worked on the problem, took multiple pictures for SolarEdge, took voltage measurements, and spent over 5 hours - just on site. The factory said there was apparent water damage (from the pictures) and they would not replace it for free even though it was under warranty. We had our master electrician visit the site and he spent an additional 5-6 hours with SolarEdge on the phone, as SolarEdge kept telling him the problem was on the roof. We battled with SolarEdge until they finally agreed to replace it, then we had to call them over the course of several more weeks, because even though the RMA had been approved, it had not shipped. Eventually, they sent it, we installed it and we saved Christie about $3,000 for the new inverter and service. But, yes, it took months. And she now has a new inverter that is two generations newer than what she previously had. In addition, Christie has a battery installation that was made by Tesla there that apparently was not working, since we put the new inverter in. I spent time tracking down Tesla service and confirmed that nothing we had done had caused a problem, but was a problem with the Tesla battery and I got from them the proper reset instructions for the Tesla. I think the long and short of it is that we went the extra mile, repeatedly for Christie. In each case, we got it right, but not as quickly as she would have liked - and I absolutely understand her frustration.
George Horrocks and his team under promised and over performed in every aspect of the project from proposal to installation. In an era where we've come to expect inexcusable delays, misrepresentation, and installation errors, Harmony Energy is a refreshing exception. If your starting your search, stop now and contract with Harmony; if you're comparing offers and you think Harmony is overpriced ask about the price difference and you'll find that Harmony is working to see that you'll experience the results you need at the lowest possible cost. While its still early in our experience with the solar array, I've been absolutely delighted by the production I've seen. You won't regret working with George and his team.
My wife and I are very happy with Harmony. Not only did they have the best price around I also think there service and expertise were top notch. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the install and how cleanly they ran the conduit through our garage and into the basement. Not an easy task but you can tell they have great attention to detail and take pride in their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them for a quote or install.
Wow! Jeff, thank you so much for the high praise. It was a pleasure for us to partner with you in going solar. Keep on the sunny side!
I spoke with the owner George on the phone about possibly only an install of solar panels not buying product through his company. He spent the time to explain the process and concerns he could see with my plan. Based on his willingness to spend ample time explaining the process I ended up using his company for the complete project. I am more than satisfied with the end result. The company did not sell me unneeded equipment and kept me informed throughout the whole process. They completed all the necessary paperwork for the state which included the $1000 rebate from the state of New Hampshire. Quality workmanship and great customer service. I would absolutely recommend this company for any person considering going solar!
George and the rest of the staff at Harmony Energy Works were so pleasant to work with and they made the whole process incredibly easy. Their attention to detail ensured that all the necessary permits were filed with every relevant group and it saved me a lot of worry. They offer an excellent product and comprehensive easy-to-understand monitoring. EDIT: The customer service regarding maintenance and repair is pretty disappointing, especially when you're counting on solar production. If you need a repair or want to have your panels removed for a roofing project, expect to be calling multiple times a day just to get someone to show up. The lack of communication was matched only by the bad-faith representations. Christie - Thank you so much for your kind words. It was great to work with you. Thank you again. Update - 8/22/22 - We installed Christie Taylor's array in 2017. We interviewed with several companies, many of whom were very good. But George Horrocks of Harmony Energy clearing gave the most informative presentation. The craftsmanship was outstanding. You can't find a wire anywhere. When weather or other circumstances caused a delay they were great in communicating to us. If you are interested in solar, you most definitely should include Harmony Energy works when collecting quotes.
These people are completely available to answer any questions. They worked with us to develop a design that we were happy with. All required filings were completed and the installers were great - efficient and pleasant. We couldn't be more satisfied.
Works better than expected! George is a pleasure to work with!
