Harold Kildow

An excellent craftsman. Reliable, reasonable in price. Knows how to install a ceramic shower and make it waterproof. Followed directions well. I did hire a plumber separately to install the valves and rough in the drain.

I interviewed a few people for my home project. Mr. Kildow’s project estimate was a little higher than the others. I chose him because he was prompt, professional, and provided everything I asked for in a timely manner. His work is amazing and we are very happy with it. We will be using him again for other projects down the road.

Harold was able to work our job in with his busy schedule and completed the job quickly. I will use him for other projects and recommend him.

Harold was supposed to fix a leak and repair the wall. Since he finished the job it has rained and the leak is back and the job must now be torn apart and started all over and I am out $810.00.

His price was great and it is evident he takes great pride in his work. His work is top-notch and he is very reliable. As new residents and based on online feedback/interviews, we took the plunge with Harold on our new home whole house remodeling while remotely managing the work out of state. Not only were we lucky but Harold proved to be an excellent builder and manager keeping everyone else on schedule including suppliers. The scale of our remodeling included complete gutting of all 3 bathrooms, kitchen, and living room (to the seam.) Rebuilding and adding new walls, building new floor, adding stairwell to attic, rebuilding kitchen with all new custom cabinets and installation, adding new space for laundry, creating new closet spaces, custom fireplace and custom cabinets and cubbies in multiple places around the house. 6 months project. His craftsmanship specially skill on baseboards, framing, custom shelves, and tiling is amazing. Total precision. I don't know what we would have done without him. Always prompt, detailed, provided well needed advice throughout the months, realistic on time and cost and I can go on. Will definitely hire him again. This review is not a complete testament to his work, professionalism and quality. Happy to provide more examples but you're in really good hands.

Harold is not only a great contractor, he was a joy to work with. His price was more than reasonable, he showed up when he said he would, He did excellent work, and left the worksite neat and clean at the end of each day. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

Harold is the real deal. You will not be disappointed with the quality of his carpentry work. I hired him to put crown moldings in my 100-year old Victorian. When the job was done, it looked like they were always there. I could not be happier. He took the time to consult along the way, to make sure the job was done right, which made a huge difference in terms of comfort level. I could not recommend him more highly.

Harold did an outstanding job remodeling a floor in our split level home. He did so much, including adding new drywall, removing a wall and adding in a beam for support, relocating an existing beam, cleaning/ adding insulation to a crawlspace, remodeling the kitchen, new baseboards, new crown moulding, mouldings around windows/ walls, painting, etc. He does amazing work. I appreciate that he paid close attention to details- he is an excellent carpenter. Harold was also really nice and flexible when working with others, including the electrician, plumber, floor refinisher, cabinet makers, and our family, of course. It was a pleasure having him in our home for a few months. We were able to give him a house key and totally trusted him to be in our home when we were not here. If you want a job to be done the correct way, then he is your man! We give Harold our highest recommendation!!

Amazing! We couldn't have asked for anything more from Harold. He was prompt, pleasant, professional and his work was perfection! Harold installed crown molding (by himself) in our living room and master bedroom. It was a pleasure working with him throughout the process and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. We have NO reservations about hiring him for future work!

Harold is a man of word. He delivered on everything he promised. harold installed 6x24 inch porcelain tiles in my 700 sq. ft. basement along with baseboard mouldings. The floors came out beautifully,he even left the basement spotless! His craftmanship is second to none, our family are truly fortunate to have done business with Harold and hope to hire him in the future on other home improvement projects.

Harold was the only contractor who responded to my inquiry with an appt. to look at the job and give a reasonable quote. The others quoted twice as much without even looking at the job, as if the job was too small to bother with. He worked with my schedule and called to follow up. The day of, he called to inform me he was running half an hour behind schedule and if that was ok with MY schedule. He budgeted 3 hours for the work but finished up in an hour and a half including clean up, and did an imepccable job. I will not hesitate to invite him back for further work (and bigger jobs!)

Quite simply put, Harold Kildow is the best contractor I have ever worked with and would never hire anybody else. First, Harold communicates with his clients. Took his time assessing the project (materials, time, costs). Highly detailed craftsman who delivered an incredible product. Laid new hardwood in the entire house, re-built stairs, re-finsihed railings, and installed all new spindles. Friends and family are impressed with the results too!
