Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
We hired Harvey's to demo our old floors and install a luxury vinyl plank on our entire first floor. I requested no transitions and Jack made that happen. He was very professional, timely, and did an amazing job!! We can't say enough positive things about his workmanship!

Project: Install Ceramic or Porcelain Tile
This is the first review I have ever written, but the service I received from this individual was so poor and unprofessional that I had to leave a comment just to give any future clients a heads up on what to expect. We had our tile backsplash replaced in our kitchen by Jack, your friendly owner of Harveys Home Improvement. It took him two days to complete and everything seemed to be going well. We arrived back home on day 2 and he had packed up and was finished with the project and was ready to go. To be honest, we did not inspect his work closely, which was our first mistake, and then paid him (even slightly more than we agreed to), which was our 2nd mistake. After Jack left we started to look over the tile job more closely and found that he had reinstalled the trim around our kitchen window very crooked, and to compensate for his mistake he made cutting the tile incorrectly. His finishing work with the grout and sealant was also done carelessly in areas. No big deal with that as we can correct that ourselves but the window trim looks terrible and needs to be corrected. No big deal, most professionals would gladly come back and fix the problem, right? Nope, not Jack. After we contacted him by text a couple of times he did reply and said he was sorry he did not respond right away as he had a dental problem but would come by later that week to fix the problem. Well, guess what...he never contacted us or showed. We then again sent more text and email messages over the next couple of weeks and then he finally replied. Dear Sir, I determined I installed your window trim correctly, see attached photo. Yup, he sent a photo alright, a picture of the whole kitchen with a faraway long side view of the window which you can determine nothing. Geez, Jack at least has the courtesy to come back onsite and look at trim before you determine that. But the biggest kicker is the fine print in the estimate he sent that states once payment is made you agree that the work is done and he also stated that is what keeps my prices down. Well, I guess your right Jack. Cover up your mistakes and hope no one sees them till you get your money, then it swindles you as it says in the fine print. We now will have to hire someone to remove and recut the tiles around the window and re-grout so the trim can be reinstalled correctly. Honest and professional contractors would have had no problem coming back to correct this problem and it should not be a big job. But to Jack, once he gets your money he is done with you. So keep this in mind next time you get a bid from him and check his work closely if you hire him because you will never see him again once he gets his money. BTW Check his other online review also, the same thing happened to someone else.
Response by Harvey's Home Improvement Co.: I was cancelled by the homeowner when I wanted to return on a last minute on 2 separate occasions. I don?t mind coming back but it is costly to keep being cancelled. I then wind up with no work for the day when I could have scheduled something else. The trim on the side of the window was never removed and I tried to explain to the Customer that I only went to where the trim was currently located. I was willing to do something but after scheduling and not being able to come out on more than one occasion, I told him I wasn?t responsible for something I didn?t move. I believe the window was slightly askew from the beginning. I had to take the b

Project: Install Ceramic or Porcelain Tile
Jack Harvey is a great guy to work with. He'll come out and give you a free estimate on the job you want done. His price was reasonable. More importantly, he comes out to do the work when he says he'll be there, he'll get the job done in the time frame he tells you, his work is very good, respects your house and keeps things clean and orderly during the job, and is a good communicator. I would definitely use Harvey's Home Improvement for future work.

Project: Install Ceramic or Porcelain Tile
Jack was cordial and nice, but did a terrible job laying tile in our shower...uneven gaps and tiles that weren't flush with one another. My wife and I had to take them down after he left. Upon taking the tiles down we discovered that he had cut a big hole in the waterproof membrane between the tile and the wall. Ended up having to tell him not to come back and redid the job myself. I've never tiled a shower myself and yet I was able to avoid all of the quality problems Jack created. So much for trusting a ;professional with great online reviews. I do not recommend Harvey's Home Improvement if you need a shower tiled.
Response by Harvey's Home Improvement Co.: This guy is full of himself. We agreed on a price and he was good with everything when I was done tiling. I told him I would be back the next morning to grout and finish up. He sent me a text in the middle of the night saying don?t come back he doesn?t need me anymore. When I inquired about payment I was told take me to court. My work speaks for itself just read the other 30+ reviews. This was very disappointing considering the time I had involved and when it was a situation over money he doesn?t need me anymore. Give me a break. This job was done over a month ago as I feel this is just a precursor in case I did anything legally which isn?t p
