They were quick to respond to my inquiry and were willing to take in the job although it was quite small. This was for my sister who is disabled, so she couldn't move and dispose of this piece of furniture. I appreciate that they isn't see this job as too minor to deal with.

Very friendly, cleaned up after and left no mess at all. Quick service. A little pricey but was worth it.

They were hired to do some drywall work. They did a horrible job. It took them a week to do a job that should have been done in a day (or two at the most). It is poor quality work that I will have to have redone. They left a horrible mess. I discovered that, while I was at work, the wife and kids came over and hung out all day (I have pictures of them sitting around smoking cigarettes). That same day, I came home and the mother-in-law was there, too. After a week, and in light of discovering that it was? bring your family to work week?; I wanted to be finished with them. I made the check out there? company? for the remaining balance. I was informed that I owed them $300 more than what they quoted me and also, that I need to write them a personal check, because they could not cash a check made out to their ?business?. I said that I was not paying them more than what we agreed upon. Shannon argued with me and threatened me on the phone, then showed up and tried to shove her way back into my house because she was going to undo all the work that they had done if I did not give her more money. I said that if they could provide me with their business license number, contractors license number, and permit from the City of Bridgeport, I would give them the extra money that they wanted, even though it was not what they quoted me. Not because they deserved it, they did not deserve to be paid another penny because the work was unsatisfactory. But because, by this time, I realized that, even though it says on that they are licensed and reputable, they are not either of those things, come to find out. The cops got involved because Shannon was overheard threatening me; and they would not leave, even though I paid them in full and asked them to go. The cops diffused the situation and sent them on their way. I am having locks changed and security cameras installed today. I have pictures and videos of their work and of the mess that they left. They did not clean anything up and even left all of the leftover stuff in my garage. Now I have to hire someone to haul the stuff away. I should have known they were not legit when they showed up in a car, not a truck. How can you do drywall if you cannot haul the supplies? The second day they asked me for a tape measure. On Saturday they asked my son, who has a truck, to go to Home Depot and buy a piece of drywall. Lots of red flags. My problem is that I try to see the good in people. I felt sorry for them. I was giving them a chance, thinking that they were trying to do good? maybe trying to get a business going. I could tell they did not really have much experience with drywall? they did not really know what they were doing. I would not recommend them for anything. They took advantage of the situation by having their wife and kids here (which is a liability). They took advantage of me by trying to charge me more than what they quoted. The day they started, Shannon itemized things in a text; saying 25% was for labor and $300 was for materials. I did not really need the breakdown, as long as the total work was $2300. I was not concerned with what was labor cost and what was materials cost. In my mind, they had already figured that out. She told me that the job could be done for $2300. That is all that mattered to me. If you want to get technical, they did not do what they were supposed to do. They were supposed to frame the doorways. They did not do that. They did not finish the job. They did not sand the ceiling smooth. They did not paint the ceiling. They did not frame the doors like they said they would. They did not put the trim back up and they did not put the transition strips back in.
