Hi! I used handy to find a handyman to install our interior doors. We hired Henryâ s handy services in Colorado. His name was David Henry. It was a horrible experience. He showed up with hardly any tools. He came in and started cutting the door down and said his tool broke and that was why one of the doors he cut was not straight and said he would just use his saw. He then cut the 2nd door and it wasnâ t straight either. He put the doors on. There was an inch gap between the frame on the top and the door. Picture is attached. He tried to claim that was normal but any human who has bedroom doors knows that it is not! My husband tried to tell him that the job was unsatisfactory and that it didnâ t look good and he snapped. My husband was being very civil and just asked him to pay for the two doors that he ruined. He then continued to tell us he was a plumber and didnâ t really know how to do it but was still really upset and offended, even after admitting the work wasnâ t good. He got really crazy. He asked my husband if he wanted to fight several times for no reason and he got in his face and acted like he was going to fight him. My husband remained calm and he said,â please just take your stuff and go.â My husband helped him carry his tools to his car and once they got there, he threatened to get his gun out of his car and shoot my husband. He threatened my husbands life for no reason. At all. We have never in our lives had a business threaten our lives. It was absurd. Then he starts to realize that he is going nuts I guess and starts to apologize over and over and offers to pay us for The doors and then come back and redo the job which was really strange. We started to wonder if he was on drugs. We told him we did not want him to do the job anymore but just to replace the doors. He left and we texted him later about the doors and he said he was going to send them and deliver them to us, which I have texts of. He tried to tell us then that since we donâ t want him to redo the doors, we owe him $35 for a cancellation fee. I was like, â why would we lay a cancellation fee when you admitted you did not do the job right?!â And ruined two of our doors. He still owes us $100 and is now not responding. I would like to discuss this over the phone with one of your customer service members! Iâ m also trying figure out how to write a review as your website wonâ t let me log in nor create a new account.
