The price was high but my initial contacts led me to believe I was working with some top-notch folks. However, my furniture did not get moved into my new place for 2 weeks....they kept delaying. I have not finished unpacking but the wooden canopy for my bed was broken....an An antique item that was not wrapped properly. Certainly, the movers themselves worked hard and got the packing and unpacking done quickly. There just needs to be more communication and transparency between the office and the customer.

This was my third time using Hercules. They worked tirelessly and went above and beyond. I can’t give 5 stars because a couple furniture items were mildly damaged and would have benefited from being wrapped in blankets but no complaints otherwise.

Out-of-State Moving Service
Movers arrived in a Penske truck. Movers damaged two four draw lateral file cabinets, damaged front door sill and scratched flooring in a brand-new home. We did not take out the extra optional insurance. Owner offered a flat $50 or if we wanted to file an insurance claim, they would pay 60 cents per pound of the items damaged. Not sure how they would weigh the front door sill or flooring. Movers were polite but steps should have been taken to avoid damage.

"We arrived in a rental truck because we needed the lift gate for your heavy equipment we moved from your garage. We are sorry for the damages on your file cabinets. We have file cabinets in the office we would be more then happy to give to you. Our insurance only covers $.60 per pound there's noting we can do about that. You are more then welcome to file a claim so you can be compensated. Our movers treated you with great respect and did everything you asked of them. We kept the price as it was estimated and you were happy with it. We gave you exceptional customer service. A 1 star is very unfair. We understand you are upset about the damage but we are doing our best to resolve this and we deserve more then 1 star."

Kelvin led his crew with great organizational skills. All were so personable and polite.They sped along but did not decrease on quality. Some of my items were not wrapped and they took over and wrapped all securely. I would highly recommend Hercules Movers to those seeking a Moving Company in sync with your requests and concerns. The young ladies on the phone provided excellent Customer Service. I had changed the date 4 Times with no hassle. Superb Moving Experience. Kelvin was Exceptional.

It did not start out well, because they did not accurately assess my move. However when the movers arrived, they were smart enough to know they were not prepared to move my large glass dining table. They left the job and the office rescheduled for a few days later, when they came prepared with a crate and extra men. They worked hard, smart and herculean in their efforts and success in my move. While i was not happy about the last minute change, they owned up to the error, made it right, and did the job well. Highly recommend.

The move itself was fine. Just hope that they do not break or damage anything because getting things fixed and reimbursed has been a nightmare. My whole move was run through Ali, and was awesome. Then they fired Ali for being to customer-centric and wouldn't honor the repair reimbursements. Damages happen, i get it, but then you have to do the right thing for your customer. Hercules doesn't do the right thing. Would not recommend.

One mover dropped a box, luckily it was not fragile. Crib was reassembled incorrectly. Movers initially did not want to move refrigerator, estimator said it was OK to move.

The team of four worked at a slow and steady pace. They took almost seven hours to load and unload a 26ft truck. There were no breakages.

I understand that accidents happen, but when damage is caused by obvious negligence, it is not an accident. The entire move both loading and unloading the 3 men were on their cell phones, even while carrying merchandise. Spent so much time on phones that 1 man asked me for a phone charger because his phone was dead. Results - 1 broken metal table - broken picture frame (in a box that was dropped) - broken glass Lenox cheese platter - broken coffee saucer from Italy - and a broken lead crystal candy dish that is well over 100 years old and priceless! (also in a box that was dropped) Contacted Hercules, and they offered me $45. Told them that was an insult, and asked to speak to the owner. This was early December, still, have not heard back. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, and Hercules did not respond to them either. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!. Janice F. moved from Smithville to Jackson NJ
