After getting several estimates, we went with Herl's. They were not the cheapest but we were impressed with their reviews and ability to completely remove the old bathtub and surrounding tile down to the studs and build back a beautiful acrylic tub and surround with new fixtures. Their installer Brian was very capable and a pleasure to be around. We will plan to use Herl's in future for more bathroom and kitchen remodeling.

my review is long overdue - i hired Herl's to replace/ upgrade shower at my parents home. the entire experience (consultation, sales, implementation) was efficient and seamless. i am very grateful. would definitely hire Herl's again.

Wonderful company !!! Bathroom is gorgeous

Make sure you get everything detailed before you sign. Once you sign, you never hear from salesman again. Installers sent to job multiple times with insufficient or wrong materials. Installers temperament ranged from great to outright combative. Three day project took 2 weeks. Implications of wall height on installation of material not explained... end result was tiles oriented in different directions depending on location. Had to argue with them to get wood baseboard re-installed properly. Despite being instructed to save certain items, installer threw them away.

Bathroom project now into week 5. Only have a working toilet - shower completed but glass wall leaks, control handle installed upside down and poor water pressure. No vanities/sinks as we are still waiting for granite counter top. Also a lot of electrical still needs to be installed. We are pleased with the new flooring and carpentry so far. Only wish this job had been supervised better.

Great service! Sales person was knowledgable, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. He had samples of all the color and styles so we could get an idea of what would look good in our bathroom. They even had new shower heads to choose from! The installation went well and everything was cleaned up after. My husband and I are so pleased with the results!

Project is taking significantly longer than anticipated. I still have 6 weeks to wait until they start so I can't comment on the quality of the work. Easy to work with, very competitive pricing and should look great when done.

When the sales rep comes, he will offer you a deal on the spot. I think it was a good take-it-or-leave-it deal but didn't appreciate the pressure, although it saves them the cost of multiple trips for the sales rep. Therefore, check out your other options FIRST because, most likely, you will hire these guys. Our problem was that the grout stopped sealing out the water so there was water behind the tiles. But we couldn't confirm that until the installer removed tiles and a lot of water came out. That's why our garage ceiling was wet. Their 1st choice method, that we purchased, doesn't use grout. Therefore, we will never have that problem again. Of course you can't use abrasives on our new shower. But it should never need them because it is beautiful and easy to clean. If newer grouts never need maintenance, then traditional ceramic tile showers might now be a good choice but I'm not sure I would believe claims that grout never needs maintenance. We had a misunderstanding about grab bars, but they were happy to fix it by coming in a month later and installing another grab bar. These are strongly attached to the joists behind the shower wall, never the cheap towel racks that you might find in some showers or glued on to fiberglass shower stalls. Customer service was outstanding and the sales rep understood everything about showers and plumbing. If there had been more time to decide, we might have taken a fancier finish, but with all the grab bars and adjustable height shower head, it doesn't look cheap.
