Cannot begin to tell you the hell these people put us through. Absolute and total hell. They are about as dishonest an organization as we have ever dealt with. We signed a contract for a substantial remodel on a house we bought, and we gave them a check for 50% of the cost in July 2022 - the presentation was slick, polished, and took us to hook line, and sinker. Since we were staying in our current home, and paying two mortgages, time was of the essence, and we repeated that as a mantra over and over again - they continued to tell us that four months/five months on the outside was reasonable. We went back and forth on a final contract, having to delete several things because they were mysteriously not included in the first contract. It took over a month to finalize product selections, then another several months to get anywhere close to actual work. The dumpster out front appeared in December, and the demo started in mid-December. The communication and organization were beyond terrible - it was like nothing was ever written down, and we were managing the remodel ourselves, ensuring communication happened because it just did not happen otherwise. We went through so many different employees and project people, we just lost track. I will say several people tried very hard to do their job (Roger, Jonona, Payton, Sarah), but it was apparent the company did not set them up for success. The company uses a website - Builder Trend - that many employees did not know how to use, and when there were mistakes on it, there were no corrections. So the demo is done, and a bathroom and laundry not included in the remodel were both demoed - whoops. The fireplace redo was finally started in January, and this looked great when done. And then the interior painting was started, and almost completed. Then the real problems began - a letter from the demo guy trying to put a lien on our house for non-payment of his $6,000 job. The fireplace mason - no payment from Hestia. The painter - owed $15,000 and was unpaid by Hestia. The countertop folks canceled after not being paid for measurements. The porta-potty company has, the same deal. Then the issues with financing happened - we went through Hestia to get a 24-month no-interest loan for the back half of the project, and this was to become effective upon the issuing of the completion certificate for the whole project. Well, guess what, in the middle of this total mess of a project - with torn-out kitchen and bath countertops, torn-up tile floors, no fixtures, sinks, light fixtures, etc. - we get a call from the finance company that Hestia had issued a completion certificate and a check was going to be released. So we spent a week on the phone and emailing the finance company, assuring them the project was far from finished, sending them numerous pictures, and contact information for the unpaid subcontractors. Hestias excuse - a computer error resulting in the generation of an erroneous completion certificate. So enter an attorney we had to hire to wade through this mess - we fired Hestia and continue to work with the finance company, which is trying to get their money back as well. Meanwhile, we have been paying two mortgages for the past eight months, still do not have a house we can move into, and are having to hire subcontractors to get the work finished. We have reported Hestia to the BBB (a waste of time) and to the Attorney Generals office (probably another waste of time), but now we are looking at the viability of small claims court. Again, I cannot stress enough how very dysfunctional this company is, the very cold manner in which they went about messing up our lives, and how they have taken no responsibility for this mess.

Design and architecture phase has been going well but still waiting on them to start construction after a few delays so cannot comment on work quality.

Hestia was the renovation company I choose to remodel and update my kitchen and living areas. I found working with the renovation specialist, Michael, and the whole team of designers, project managers and support staff as a very positive experience. Should I need more improvements, I will definitely be giving them a call for my next project.

Design and installation went really well. Even though we were working during the beginning of COVID, items arrived timely and everything was completed on time. Six months later I had some issues with leaks, and Eli and Hestia were able to get repairs completed in a timely manner.

Desmond at Hestia was absolutely amazing to work with. He was very professional and responsive. He addressed questions and concerns quickly and was always polite and courteous. Desmond was a true problem solver, thinking through the best and most efficient was to resolve issues that came up. He helped our project move quickly and kept a handle on the extensive list of projects our renovation required. We have heard horror stories about renovations but working with Desmond has been nothing but a blessing. We will recommend anyone to Hestia going forward!

5 project managers , countless additions, lack of consistency attending worksite, 20 k over the original quote with extras 4 months to do the work, full of false promises, the outstanding issue with hood, promised to get it working correctly......crickets, I see they are rated nearly 5 stars.....? Never again. Would not hire them to build a dog kennel.

This is the second time that we have used Hestia Construction. Because of their exceptional service the first time, we chose them to do continued updates on our home a second time. They did not disappoint us either time. We are extremely pleased with the high quality of service they continue to provide. Thank you, Hestia!

We found Hestia on HomeAdvisor. From the time that works commenced on our master bath remodel, the following issues were noted: Hestia collected 50% of the total contract amount upfront and after demolition, there were weeks with almost no progress. They continued to ask for subsequent checks despite days/weeks without any work being done. They then refused to perform any more work without further payment. We accommodated their payment schedule as we were left with no other options at that point. When we signed the contract, they guaranteed work to be completed by 6-8 weeks. We had to fire them after 12 weeks when work was still not complete and not progressing. 2 separate subcontractors told us they had to cease work because Hestia would not pay them. One sub collected his tools and left the job for good. They frequently told us Hestia would not pay them and would not pay for materials to keep the job going. The subs more than once told us we shouldn't write Hestia another check because the money would likely disappear without more work being done. They almost fainted when I told them how much we had already handed over. Frequently, the project manager (Eli Olivas) and Director of Operations (Brian Menn) would not return phone calls. They gave numerous conflicting excuses for lack of progress. Work halted more than once due to failure to order enough materials. Floor tile had to be ordered on 3 separate occasions. The shower tile had to be ordered twice. Hestia refused to fix mistakes/poor workmanship (not in the budget/contract). Several examples: Shower cut out tiles incorrectly installed. The floor tile incorrectly installed. Surfaces not sanded or cleaned before painting. Paint is already flaking off trim surfaces (weeks after painting). The plumbing supplier threatened lien on our house via a certified letter due to nonpayment. Work completely halted until we threatened legal action. We had to change the locks on our home because Hestia lost a copy of our house key. In summary, this has been the worst customer service we have ever experienced. I have many other complaints about this experience but we will leave it at that. I hate confrontation and I would not smear an individual or business without serious cause. I feel morally obligated to post this review to potentially save others from an experience like ours.

Despite the project starting at a challenging time our project manager Stephanie kept us up to date, communicated well and got things done. We are pretty picky and she addressed everything timely and made sure it was to our satisfaction. Considerate workmen kept things clean during the entire project. Ernesto was terrific at coordinating workers and projects. Thanks all!

I had a walk-in closet built into my game room so I could convert it to a second master bedroom. The job was finished a day early, and my budget never changed. Jay and Lee did a great job managing the project!

They provided all around exceptional service. They were awesome. Any concern I had they were there that day. They did a great job with the quality of the work. If they found a mistake, they would fix it right away. I would highly recommend this company to anybody.

My house is better than expected!

This group was professional and the work is beautiful. We are so happy with our new bathrooms. Our project manager was very communicative and anything that needed to be fixed or changed was done immediately. Definitely recommend them

update---5/13/2020. All of these issues have been fixed already.............. This job was stated last October, we have had issues with the surround in the master bath and the wallpaper in the hall bath. The correction to the master surround cracks was to slap white grout in the cracks where the rest of the grout is gray. No response to our calls to have this remedied. Three tries to wallpaper the hall bathroom and have the seams touch and the pattern match. When contacted the office no response and when contacted the contractor was told they would get back to me when they have time. They still do not have time. The sinks and tops are beautiful even though the hall bathroom sink is not the size that I ordered, and the hot and cold water is switched in the bathtub/shower.

The estimate was off on timing to complete, drying time, etc. Get everything in writing as there were a couple of misunderstandings from the rep that prepared the quote. Also, wanted to charge me $400 to remove a small vanity, insisting I would need new plumbing valves, but were already new. ( Took about 1/2 hour to do this ourselves. ) Didn't remove baseboards for the tile job. Felt overcharged based on what they were not willing to do in the price. However, the work was done well. Looks good. Crew was professional and courteous.
