I was referred to Benji from my neighbor who had a wall done by him as well. Benji and his crew removed my old retaining wall and rebuilt a new one for me. The old wall was leaning and in need of major repair because if it fell, it was going to cause damages to my home. Benji was great at answering all of my questions and accommodating with any changes that I had. I?m so grateful that they fixed the wall and I can sleep better knowing that my home is safe.

Following the Kona Low storm on March 13, 2026, the wall built by Benjamin Teisina in October 2022 failed to hold back the easement floodwaters it was intended to control. After reviewing photos, contractors noted several issues: the wall footing was only dug about 7?8 inches deep instead of the recommended 2.5?3 feet, the wall was not sealed to prevent water penetration, and there were areas with missing grout. Three years later, there have been no major storms to test whether the wall can effectively hold back flash flooding from the ditch.

We are completely satisfied with Benji and his crew at Hilinaâ i construction. Benji understood our vision and turned it into a reality. The whole project was completed within 2 weeks and we were impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. Hilinaâ i construction widen our backyard, built 2x retaining walls, and at the request, was flexible in doing more work by building a sidewalk path and another retaining wall adjacent to our house. Hilinaâ i construction went above expectation and even helped with the removal of unwanted debris and relocated small shrubs around the property. Hilinaâ i construction worked tirelessly everyday to ensure that our vision was doable and completed in a timely manner, without sacrificing the quality of their work. Ben did a wall for me up in Tantulus area, there was alot of erosion under my bridge leading to my garage so Ben and his crew built a retaining wall to hold back everything. They did a perfect job and was really good on his communication through out the whole process and project.
