Traditional Tile Roofing Repair
$700
Hired them for repairing cracked tiles, replacing 7 additional cracked tiles which included mixing matching mud for ridges, and replacing a vent cap with a broken flapper and painting it. Owner did not relay location of any of tiles, the need to paint the vent cap, nor send him with any colorant for the ridge, which was discovered only after he put grey in the middle of an entire orange roof. After calling him out on how he thought that was actually going to work in any common sense scenario, he stated he did not have colorant and he just wanted to get the job done (it was now 5 pm on a Friday). I told him I had some. He then tried rubbing dry powder colorant over it at one point as the powder was staining everything else on the roof, but that did not work. He then realized he had to mix it into some fresh mud. He did not know how to properly mix it in, and it was glowing fluorescent orange, versus standard apricot/terracotta color, and proceeded to put it on over the grey and powder. He skim coated it versus removing the grey he just installed. He also did not use a bonding agent, so within a day it was all crumbling off. I had put out 7 tiles, three were left untouched and one new one was broke in half. So instead of replacing those seven, 3 were replaced and the rest were glued. The worker tried taking continual short cuts and was not interested in doing a quality job. When the owner's office called the next day trying to send me the invoice, I said the work was terrible and there were issues. The owner did come back to review the work the following day, did paint the cap, but instead of correcting the tiles and non-matching mud on the ridge, he thought it was best to bring the same worker back (somehow expecting a different result). I told the owner that I am not managing that and was delayed to an existing appointment on Friday afternoon after spending 3 hours on the roof managing his guy. The worker showed up the next day and started complaining immediately. He did not want to chip out the mud he installed previously and I had to call the owner on the cell to have the owner tell his worker to do it the right way. The worker did his best to try to match the color, and it is better, but still way off. Its not that hard to get it reasonably close if you add a little colorant at a time, check, add, and repeat. One of the tiles that he replaced is sitting up in the air with almost a half inch gap over the tile underneath it, with the worker claiming he couldn't get it as the original was. In the end, I am going to bring a real professional in to finish the job. I spent 5 hours managing the owners worker across 2 days after he told me his "time was too important as he was 15 estimates behind." I presented the owner with an invoice for my time. He cashed my check, but didn't pay the invoice. That action should send a loud and clear message to any potential customer. I guess the customer is expected to ma

I might even hire them again to put a sun tunnel in my garage since it has no natural light because it has no windows.

I called in the early afternoon and Keith was able to come out later that day to look the job over and give me an estimate. He sent a few of his workers over a day later. They were here promptly at 8 am and left with the job completed at 2 pm. It was a huge relief to find someone so professional. They did a great job!

promptly replied to my call, due to heavy rain he could not estimate the job till first thing next morning. I had a serious roof leak and he managed to rearrange his schedule to fix the leak that same day. The job was much more involved that he originally estimated but he did not significantly increase his final cost. Keith, the owner, and his crew were very knowledgeable and courteous. The job was very neat and the left the property very clean. They were also considerate of our landscaping and careful not to damage any plants. We are very pleased and will recommend this company to anyone.

Was told "next week" like 3 times, but when they got to it they did it clean and fast. The new lead flashing installed around the base of the skylight was not painted to blend in with the terra-cotta barrel tile, so it contrasts with the other skylights in my townhome development, but owner offered to come back and paint it if I got the paint. Overall I'm good with the results (though I've got to wait for the next big rainstorm to be sure it doesn't leak any more), and I think the price was actually pretty good. If I recall correctly, I paid almost twice as much to replace my other skylight two years ago, so - YAY! I would recommend these guys be added to your bidder list, but get a written commitment for the work start date. The people were all good folks. They would definitely be 5-star in all categories if they had done the job sooner, and painted the flashing. I will ask them to bid when I re-do my roof, so I must be happy enough...

Keith came out quickly and gave an estimate and returned to do the job 2 days later, estimate read approximately 4 bundles of shingle ripped and replaced, when he came to do the job he only replaced 2 1/2 bundles, I hope that it works out.

Hi-N-Dri Roofing & Waterproofing, Inc. - We are extremely HAPPY that HomeAdvisor found and recommended this company to us. Hi-N-Dri Roofing responded to our request for an estimate in less than 24 hours. Keith, the owner/estimator provided us the bid and temporarily repaired the leak so we would not sustain any further leaking damage during the time before repair could be completed. Within two (2) working days the repair was completed by a competent roof repairman. We are 100% satisfied with our project outcome and we can recommend Hi-N-Dri Roofing for all your roofing needs. Best regard
