High End Movers

All of our furniture arrived safely but the movers had a very difficult time dropping our stuff off. Traffic in Boston is notoriously difficult but the moving van got lost. In addition, the cost came in well-above the estimate

They broke a lot of things.

Do not hire this company. I gave them a credit card for payment. They charged the 1/3 down. I booked my flight to meet them for the pick up, to get me moved out of state. Then I get a call to change the pick up date. No, I paid for my flight to come meet them and it needs to happen as scheduled. Three times they tried to change the weekend, once as I was driving to the airport. When I arrived for the Saturday pick up, they changed it to Sunday. They did wrap the furniture well. I asked if I needed to sign for the credit card charge. No, we will charge you when we get back to the office. Well apparently they did not pay their merchant bill because they called me and said they could not process the card because their end was not allowing any card processing. I was told to wire money. I said no. I signed a contact that stated credit card payments as a form of pay. I offered to send a check. No, he was not accepting anything but a wire transfer. He would not bring my stuff back. Or tell me where it was. Or send it. I told him to send it and Iâ d give him a cashiers check when they arrive. No. Would not send unless I wire all the money. They held my houseful of items hostage. What if I was broke and only could afford to move because of being able to make payments to my credit card company? I would have never seen my items again. I called a lawyer. They brought my things but would not unload without cash only payment. No other type of payment was acceptable. I was fortunate to have money. It was two weeks of arguing and having to take legal action, even with that they did not tell me where my things were or if they would deliver. They just showed up and demanded cash only before unloading the truck.

Terrific moving company! Showed up on schedule, worked swiftly but very careful moving our things. Our crew was professional and very polite which reduced the stress of the move. Highly recommend them to everyone!

Very skillful, insightful guys showed up promptly and packed our stuff carefully. I appreciated their flexibility for my never ending requests. The total price ended up being less than the estimate which was great!

The people who showed up arrived with a rented u-haul truck, and got mad because we had more furniture than they expected. I put in a call to their office, and reminded them that they chosen to skip the walk-through and told us more would be fine, and that we would just scale it according to price and square footage. Instead, the moving team attacked my wife over it, yelling at her for not getting the cubic footage right, and demanding payment on the spot. At one point she ended up crying and fleeing the house. Great recommendation, Angi. Thanks. I took over remotely from there, and did my best. The dispatch forced the team lead to apologize, and we got going again. Apparently they could not load it all into the u-haul they rented, so we had to sell furniture and give things away to neighbors. They said We do not have enough trucks right now, so we tried to do this Some things even got forgotten in the house after we paid the increased fee. We were aware the fee would go up depending on how much we had. That was fine. The problem was not doing the walk through, then blaming her and getting mad when their plan failed. Then when it was time to unload, they showed up at 3pm on Thanksgiving day, in the rain. Despite my being very clear about where we lived, they wanted more money or they would not unload it. I measured it out, and it was legal to park within the no-additional-charge distance, but they wanted an easier ramp up, and wanted to charge me for the extra distance. Since I was a hostage, I paid the extra money and they unloaded into the house. Very few things were broken, which is why they got a 3 star on work quality. The unload team did great. Having said that, based on my wife experience, this company does not belong on Angi. She refused to even be at the house with the kids while they unloaded because of her experience during loading.

Not happy with the sales rep.

The moving crew was professional, courteous, and through and fast. If you let them know exactly what you have to move the estimate will be correct. If you have more, expect to pay more, but very fair.

RUN. Their entire bid process is a scam. After getting a good scope of items and a quote you think you are good, but no. Then the driver shows up on move day to pack and will tell that it does not matter how exact the count of items was, rather, it is the volume of the items in the truck that matters, so they price gouge you at the pick up. Then, when you go to make a payment they tell you it will cost 5% more to use a credit card. Then, when they show up to deliver, they will tell you that the items had to be moved from a bigger truck to a smaller truck to get to your street/home (which was a lie) and charge you another surprise $300 in cash only fee. Basically, once you book with them they know you have no other easy options to go elsewhere considering they have your stuff and they leverage that knowledge to screw you at every opportunity. Just know in advance you are doing business with crooks. Oh...and plan on about 5% of your items being damaged upon arrival and not wanting to deal with their complete lack of customer service to even address it with them. It is like moving to HELL with this company. RUN... and never look back. RUN FASTER!!!

Poor communication on the front end and back end re: pick-up and delivery dates. The delivery took almost 3 weeks and was a disaster. The truck showed up 5 hours late and with only one person- the driver. I ended up moving a third of my belongings upstairs myself. They did not reassemble the things they took apart as promised in the contract, including my bike which left my house in one piece and arrived in three. The office chair was damaged, and the one guy who showed up could not get my sofa up the stairs so it is now sitting in my garage. Do not use this company!

Absolutely perfect from beginning to end very professional

The process started out alright. No issues with getting things on the truck and things were handled seemingly with care, however problems came later at receiving my items. I paid for my items to be moved into my new location but only one guy showed up in the truck to move all of my items so I ended up having to help him with many of the large items and boxes. Many of the boxes I had shipped were crushed on arrival and needless to say this guy did not seem happy that he was the only mover and it showed in how he handled many of my items in front of me. Boxes marked fragile were carelessly moved around and could tell things were already broken inside. Not surprisingly the ski bag with some of the most expensive gear didn?t end up arriving with the shipment. When I reached out about finding it, they just gave me a 3rd party website to file a claim on and I have had zero contact from them and no sense that they are putting any effort into finding my missing items. I have attempted to reach out to see if my items were stored in a warehouse at any point - part of the website claim form - but again, no response to accurately fill that out. I also ended up using 3 different types of payments during this process so if you expect consistency, think again. I highly recommend getting the full insurance if you do use them and make sure to do you?re part in the move.

Would have liked more communication as to when move would take place. I gave a 2cday window [as they required] but had to wait another day. In fact today is the day and I haven't seen them yet.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience moving with Texas Top movers. They were able to quote me quickly and answer all of my questions. These guys werenâ t just respectful and skilled but they were genuinely good to be around. Iâ m very impressed with this company.

They arrived on time and it was actually me who was not ready. I asked for some help packing and it was the best decision I could've made. Besides saving my sanity, they were really good. The crew barely took any breaks and my move took about 6 hours only. The staff was good.

I never did thanks to everyone that was involved for all the hard work that was done on my move from my old house to my new apartment. I have to say I was quite anxious until the move was done but you guys came through just like you promised you would and I cannot thank you enough for all the hard work everyone put in.

Getting a quote from them was easy as well. I just gave them a list of everything I had and they gave me a quote. Their people were very nice, they came, picked everything up, wrapped everything and made sure everything was nice and safe. So I decided to stick with them.

We moved on short notice and our needs for tight scheduling were met in a polite and professional manner by everyone from the owners through the front staff to the finance department and all of the people we encountered. The quotes were accurate and the information I was given was realistic.

My move was over 900 miles and I was nervous about finding the right movers. Texas Top movers did everything we agreed upon. No hidden costs, no delays, no poor excuses. All of my belongings arrived as scheduled, intact. I could not have been more pleased! From speaking to the representative to the movers... everything was perfect.

The driver came right away to pick it up. We were out at the time, but the driver told us that we didn't have to be home and he'd pick it up, and everything went so smoothly. From beginning to end, the service was excellent. The team was excellent and professionalism was shown with their work.
